These rules may change at any time So keep checking so that your up-to-date
Note To Battlers:
In the interest of fair play, though you are not yet required to,
you are encouraged to vote on any battle that allows you to, this will
in-turn encourage other members to vote on your battles. Members may
begin to stop voting on your battles if they see you are failing to
participate in the site.
Voting in Battles:
if you are going to vote in a battle you have to read the rules, aswell as the rules in the battle.
You have to comply with the rules - eg if your in the same crew
as one of the battlers and the "no crew votes" is turned on, you can not vote.
You will have to explain your vote, if you dont explain your vote properly your vote will be disallowed by a Moderator.
any votes that are based on anger against one of the battles will be
disallowed automatically and will be spotted by a Moderator. This is
known as "hate votes"
You are not required to vote in any specific style (eg
categories), all we ask is that your vote is honest, fair and has a
breif explaination as to why you chose that verse. You are allowed to
add any other formats to your vote for example categories, quotes from
the verses that you liked or disliked, but you however are not required
to.
Canceling Votes:
Only moderators are allowed to cancel a vote, Battlers are not allowed to cancel votes them selfs.
If both parties agree to disallow a vote,
then a moderator is not needed to cancel a vote, and the vote will is
allowed to be can canceled by the battlers
If a vote does not conform to the Battle rules then it will not be accepted and will automatically be disallowed.
Reasons for votes to be disallowed are:
- The vote is made by a member whos in the same crew as either of the battlers (even if they vote against the fellow crew member)
- the vote is based on Hate towards a battler
- the vote is a dickride vote
- The vote is not explained well enough
- The vote does not conform to the rules set out in the battle
Moderators are not limited to canceling votes for JUST the above rules.
If you (as a voter or battler) object to a vote being disallow, you are
free to notify a Lead Moderator or Administrator about this, but untill
stated otherwise the vote will remain disallowed.
Battle Subjects:
battles should be named as following:
*name* Vs *name*
if the battlers have already faced each other you must put the round the battle is, at the end like so:
*name* Vs *name* (Round 2)
Please use the username of your opponent. Please dont 'edit'
there name to offend them. Please also try to avoid shortening
usernames, though if the subject is to long for the box, you will be
allowed to. Any wrong names will be changed by the moderators.
Default Battle Rules:
You have to explain the rules, like how many lines/bars, KO number and all that.
If a rule is not specified in a battle, then the Default rules will be used, the default rules are as follows:
Minimum Lines (bars): Unlimited Maximum Lines (bars): Unlimited first to 5 votes wins unless 3 KO crew votes are not allowed
Flipping/Feeding is allowed
Rules must be decided in the call out, and once agreed should be posted in the battle
If you fail to put the rules in the battle, then the default rules will apply.
Fixed Rules
Fixed Rules are rules that you cannot change as the site does not allow this in battles.
You are not required to post this in a battle as they're not allowed even if the battle says they are.
The Fixed Rules are as follows:
- Biting is never allowed in a battle
- Recycling is never allowed in a battle
- Swaying votes in or out of the battle is not allowed
- Hate Votes are not allowed
- Dickriding Votes are not allowed
Number of Battles:
Battlers may only have 4 battles max at
any one time, any extra battles will be locked until your limit has
gone down. Battles that count towards the total are battles that only
reside in the Battle Field forum its self, battles that are finished,
under review and 'No Mans Land' forum will not count.
Do NOT contact a moderator when your limit is down, they will re-open your battle in there own time.
No Shows:
Lyrical Assault does not believe in "no show wins" so we do not award wins to battlers whos oppenent didnt show.
Battlers who do not show up to battles within 2weeks (unless the battle
deadline stats otherwise) will gain a No Show Point to there profile
and the battle will be moved to 'No Mans Land' where they will have 1
week from the date it was moved to post there verse to entitle them to
have the no-show point removed and the battle will be moved back to the
Battle Fields. After that 1 week, if the battler still fails to show,
then the No Show Point will be permenent and
the battle will be locked.
If battlers have a vaild reason for not showing then they may be entitled to be an exception and the battle can continue.
If non of the battlers post in the battle then the battle will be deleted and nobody will gain a noshow point.
If you if you know your not going to showing (eg your
about to go on holiday) then you must state it in the battle and state
when you hope to be due back within the 2 weeks the battle was setup.
If your opponent no-shows, you are allowed to reuse all/part of your verse again.
Cheating/Biting:
Biting is NOT permited in any battles,
if you bite you will have points added to your Warning Meter and/or be
banned for 1 month.
If your opponent bites/cheats you will not gain the win the battle. and it will
be abandoned and moved to the "Battles under Review" forum.
If the battle has finished and it is confirmed your Opponent bit/chated
in the battle which resulted in them winning the battle, you will not
be awarded the win for that battle, but you will be given the chance to
have the loss you recieved removed from your battle score.
If someone bites/Cheats and you battled them in the past you will not
gain the win, and you will not be able to have your loss removed unless
it is confirmed they bit/cheated in your battle.
up-ing Battles:
uppin battles can clog up battles, and is very annoying to everyone involved.
you are ONLY allowed to 'up' your battle every 24hours and you are NOT allowed 'up' a battle twice in a row
failing on this would result in your 'ups' being deleted continuing may even result in your battle being locked!
It is encourgaged that members vote battles that they're
permitted to, this will, in-turn, encourage other members to vote on
your battle.
Contacting Members for votes:
You are not allowed to
send Private Messages to members to ask them to vote in your battle,
this will be concidered as Vote swaying. If your battle requires votes
then you are allowed to 'up' the battle to put it to the top of the
forum list.
If you are found to have sent Private Messages to members requesting them to vote then you may have the vote disallowed.
Please report any 'PM Vote Requests' to a member of staff.
You are permitted to contact members by other means (for example an
Instant Messenger) but you must make it clear that the person votes
fairly and you must not sway there vote in anyway, otherwise the vote
will be disallowed.
Finished Battles:
When your battle has finished and there is a clear winner,
the battle will be closed by a moderator and your score will be updated. Scores are done manually and so are only done once your battle is moved to the "1v1 Battle Archive".
If your battle is still in the battle field forum your battle has not
yet been closed, and so your score has not yet been updated. Please
do allow reasonable time for your battle to be closed. if your battle
hasnt been closed for more than 48hours then you are permitted to post
the link in the thread "Battles That Need Closing"
please allow time for it to be closed after posting, if your battle
hasnt been closed for over a week please then and only then contact a
moderator to notify them of this. if you pester moderators with battles
to be closed you may find your self being ignored and your battles will
be left till last, or just left all together.
Warning:
DO NOT CALL PEOPLE OUT IN THIS BOARD this is for BATTLES only. you may have your post deleted if it is in the wrong forum
