I'm from the city that brings the Heat,/
extra gritty and never sleeps,/
women pretty down at the beach,/
keepin it thick below the Peach,/

where you can reach all your dreams,/
or get burned by get-rich schemes,/
lose it to the city like all state teams,/
or graced and praised by millions of screams,/

where mainstream and underground go hand in hand,/
like office printers wither, we always jam,/
where supply always struggles to meet demand,/
and our weed is louder than marching bands,/

where Cubans come and chose to expand,/
till Cuba changes and leaders disband,/
my family came here with returning plans,/
but at the end Miami is what made this man,/

quick refs
Miami Heat
peach state=Georgia
Florida Marlins became Miami Marlins

This was actually a nice piece,I liked the summery bouncy feel to this,
a pacey read on the whole with a vibe thrown in for good measure, you
also had some nice content and similes within too,I also like the fact
you showed a good side to your city, then gave a greyer area where you
can get burnt if not careful, plus the structure was good which helped
the read tick along well, you've done a job here enjoyed the read.peace.

Thanks for the feed guys

@spume, yea, you def need to jump in on it! Like to see people's perspectives on where they live. Keeps it real.

@crim, Miami definitely has the two extremes, the opportunity there is endless, but it is also the most cutthroat place I've seen. Ppl will step all over you and screw you sideways just to make sure they get a promotion over you. Cray cray, but awesome at the same time... I also opt not to live there any longer for these reasons. There is only one speed in Miami and its full throttle. Never down time, a life I loved for 18 years, but after I turned 18, I had enough of it. Now I live in Tallahassee (state Capitol)

"keeping it thick below the peach" lmao! nice!

cool addition to the KOTM bro. Vivid pictures painted and dug dualistic attitude of the verse. The highlight to me was the last stanza. You went a personal route and i felt it paid off. If i absolutely have to point out a problem, i guess it would be the rhyming, which consisted mostly of single words. But i feel due to your audio nature, what i deem as lacking would probably slay on track. word. keep on, brutha.
