hmm.. i'll leave some feed, just because..
neps - your verse was okay. ' grabbin the chain' punch makes no sense to me, opening too bars where kinda indirect plays, so what if one beat the other, should have focused more on the play side.. and in 2 v 2 battles theres always plays about one carrying the other, gets kind of old.. i know its a battle, but smooths one of the best on the site, so some of the shots didnt land, not just for that reason, they wern't the strongest plays i.e.e push an shav, if i was going for one, i would have went for ikon.. only one shot on ikon? isnt really enough.. and that one shot was pretty timid, an okay diss chain - flow and multis where off the charts but i dont get half your shit lol, and no matter how talented you are, your gonna get boxed in sticking to a rigid rhyme scheme - you should go for a simple AABBCC rhymescheme and focus on bringing personals and solid punches, this may make your head explode, i dunno lol, but i would do it..some nice lines in there particualrly the parised chain one, i thought it was clever, some references where over my head im sure, but there didnt seem to be a crazy amount of personals and coherent punches, imo anyways.. meat riding , last two bars, just not hitters. kon - nice verse, opener was a bit of a stretch, unless im missing something, these two arent going to be aiming for a loss, so the play doesnt make too much sense for me, not bad tho. chances now and massacre in tex where the best two plays of the battle, that was classic kon, but the rest was a let down.. game fake, bawllin and heavy bars where a little off, bars / gym been done too much, even if it is personal.. ram and admitted himself where decent, but not real heavy hitters... overall if smooth had of joined with a semi decent verse for his standards, kon and smooth prolly would have advanced, kon had a more advanced battling verse even if it wasnt his best.. chain and nep better put in work when they drop for the final.. |

lol, even explained its hard to get, i got the dynasty reference and the jay z reference in the first bar, the second line i get the premise of lol, but i wouldnt have known they where rappers / rappers of the dynasty
got the biggie refernce because of the 'late great', never heard of the BI thing, duets thing went past me too, tapewormed i had figured, but wouldnt have known for sure.. i knew shyne was a rapper but didnt know he was in jail, on what charges etc., the reference was a little obscure, but explained it makes more sense. chinese bar was okay, but again, you word the stuff so 'uniquely', in a cryptic fashion its hard to read/decypher and enjoy the whole piece, that would work (imo) more like, 'leave dragons in a twist like chinese streets at new years' etc.. and the last bar i still barely understand, or you saying that kon is god?? obviously a sarcastic play, but its hard to read, kay slay is the dj i assume i dunno lol, i and c is pretty obvious, the punchline is cryptic, ja / jah = god, and your saying hes in great shape? i dont get that at all.. maybe with more expos, but you shouldnt need to explain punches.. i aint that in to hip hop and this felt like you had to study hip hop 101 for a few years, plus the unique wording and efficient flow make it hard to read.. imo, dunno if anyone else see's it like this.. just being honest..
