Tomorrow is yesterday-
especially when you keep making mistakes
cause change is hard to make when you keep sayin it's "fate"
But if it is meant to be, am I the best and who's testin me
And should a pawn in the game ever really question his destiny?
See, I mean, I'd like to find out or at least die trying...
And ignore the critiques by blindin' the eyes spying
Blocked the outside world continued on strong with all ports shut
Hit the road with folded map - took Ophelia Todd's Shortcut
Focused on beating the system - resisting the empire-
fully engaged to rage against the machine
Passed up the stage to learn from sages, some of the best you've ever seen
But It's all the same as rich goes - Dressed nice or in ripped clothes
Unwilling to drift slow -learned life's lessons through cliff notes
The knowledge I earn is in trial and error, it's all from there
Paid dues but still somehow I owe.... somebody...somewhere
Slayed dukes and fucked dutchessess and thought that made me King
Wore a crown made of shit, somehow I thought that made me bling
Once thought wisdom was bought but nobody would pay me
Once felt like love was on the right road - a 2-way street
until I faced intersections where the lines became blurred
and I was forced to think and extinguish my spoken word  
Then I lost my way- I now watch as others lose their way
Ignorant as I once was as they casually choose their fates
Yet, I remain silent and impotent within this silence
Fists clinched as they attempt to solve it through violence
I move quiet - ill-equipped to make a change with only my voice
Unimportant and ineffective....but only by choice
They bathe in their ignorance as I reserve my retort
Sworn to duty - but intent just to observe & report   
A crossing guard with no arms or legs or a mouth to shout from
Patronizing from sarcastic hands from which I sprout thumbs
Learned through their anguish - another one of my experiments
Cause I can't save them from this pain, it must be experienced
