From the first hieroglyphs, to the evolution of tribal dance
Culture was born from hunger, Hell was built with idle hands. So go and get it, no love for co-dependants No repentant sinners rollin over on their co-defendants. Move to the back sonny, every wolf in the packs hungry You could be a crash dummy if you hitch your wagon to the fast money. Better learn to play the long game or lay a strong claim. You'll never have a long reign if you try to play the wrong lane. I'm tryna find peace like a Marley with the long braids. Drawn shades shield my view from the feds when they launch raids. I try to fight reality, but life's a bitch in its totality. How can we emphasize morality when the bible condones brutality? If it's nurture over nature then who's birthing this behavior? They changed the nomenclature from 'slave labor' to 'wage labor' Unless your a day trader they don't treat you with humane nature. It gets more drastic, they give us guns so we start blastin. They threw us in the ocean and told us swim through the hard plastic. My city is trash island, we feel hopeless and half frightened. But we find beauty in the darkness Like the glow of a black diamond. |

I quite enjoyed the flow and I’m sure it would’ve a greater impact on audio, at least that’s how I read it. This had some highlights and I appreciate the existential-like questions and ideas you raised throughout. Some similes like the “diamond” one in the end or the Marley one seemed repetitive and cliched to me, but this was kept at a minimum. Highlights to me were the entire “If it's nurture over nature then who's birthing this behavior?” segment. You put it quite nicely in a precise way. I don’t think I ever read a verse from you, so this was a nice, refreshing read.

honestly bro, I really fucking loved this. this my kinda shit, as the cool kids say. its an open ended think piece that leaves the reader to digest (no pun) the food for thought.
youre on the money that we've built a system that makes us earn freedom when everyone was born free to begin with. ive also questioned a million times how we learned most of our traditions. shit like this intrigues me alot more than most stuff. so thanks for putting a little pep in my step this morning. thanks for sharing. im 97% sure this is the exact feeling Jay-Z had when he heard "dumb out" by Joe Budden for the first time. it got me like whoooooo |

nice to see some of your work again, Bak. to echo the sentiments of the two pervious feed, this was a dope short piece. lots of cool lines i especially love that last one. for the most part, i categorize this as a social commentary piece, which in the wrong hand can come off very stagnant and preachy but this was pretty cool. good shit, cuzzin.
