Happy new year everyone. We're up for a new challenge and this time I intend to make it more challenging indeed. This time I'll be providing you both a picture and a beat. The intention is you write about your interpretation of the picture and to the atmosphere of the beat.
Rules: 1. Line limit of 32. 2. Be sure to add the picture to your post. 3. The title of your topic should say [KOTM]. Example: Endeavor - Shining lights [KOTM] 4. Yes. Even though I didn't state it in the ruleş providing us with an audio would be double so dope. Plus it would add more activity to the audio side of the site as well.

im working on both text and audio myself. if people would prefer, we can always just post the audio on the audio mic section as [KOTAM].... or we can just post it as an add on to the text side. depends on how everyone would prefer to do it. it can be two separate votes for om vs am

Just to be really clear. The OM King is a OM challenge so it'll get judged by the verse alone & within the rules stated. It's not meant to disadvantage people who don't have audio equipment or who aren't interested in recording. That said, since it's meant to be FUN and encourage activity I am also happy for it to inspire people to take an audio angle. And if pure 'audio heads' want to take part then as long as they drop their lyrics then that's all gravy. Hope that's clear. |

Yeh I think the only reason people are adding a recording is to show it works on beat. it isn't necessity you can still just read it to the beat.

to be honest, the only reason i went the audio route is because i wanted to demonstrate how the verse was intended to sound on that beat in real time.
when people just post a beat and then post the lyrics under it. . i never really get the sense of how it all goes together. because outside of actual ability to flow and what not. . how are we supposed to know when the verse is supposed to come in on the beat and stuff like that? at the end of the day though, im sure its going to be the text of the verse that gets judged, in which case, it may have been a benefit to not post an audio. because it can allow you to just post a verse in any scheme and who am i or anyone else to tell you it wouldnt sound right on the beat endeavor posted??? i guess it really all comes down to accept the challenge, kill it, and if its good enough. . you will win too beast of luck everyone |
