For the record, I have nothing against J Sass at all and I think it was
ridiculous how he was attacked for his caps thing (which I do find
weird...but it doesn't actually bother me) and his incorrect
spelling...none of that shit really matters... I just figured it would
be funny to do the verse that way . . . And the point he made about expecting a 'classic' wasn't something I took as a diss or hate, but it is something that annoys the hell out of me, for reasons I think I explained well enough in the verse So it's not really a diss to you personally, Sassy J... it's to everyone that's ever said similar shit... you just happened to inspire me to write something at the end of a very long NYE, at 4am on NYD... much like what I wrote the other day (that started this whole thing) wasn't really dissing Woods or trying to show up the poor little peckerhead...or even trying to pen the best ever multis piece or anything...he just gave me an idea, I went with it, the end If someone does what I do better than me, then maybe I'll be suitably inspired to write another classic (if I have the time)...this goes for the battle field and for this place... till then, you're gonna have to make do with these pieces, even if they're not full enough of 12-syllable rhymes over 12 lines, formula-following 'punchlines' on completely untouched and obscure topics or epic stories with 22 twists... I already did all that shit, as well as or better than pretty much everyone [EDIT: in the opinions of those most widely considered, accepted and regarded as 'experts' around this place, of course -- wouldn't want anyone to think I was fabricating my own props now . . . would I?]... I'm not gonna do it again for anybody's benefit, let it go These joints, while often more subtle or appearing more obvious, say a lot more even than some of my shit that was considered 'classic' back then for ticking certain boxes of what textcees have been indoctrinated to think 'makes' a good verse . . . but there you have it ------------- They just said that FUCKIN' with me They didn't mean it Nah . . . |
