...Topical Battle Verse Written To The Picture...

WE ARE WHAT WE EAT!
It’s been 200,000 years since the Fukushima disaster
Accelerated evolution and produced the new masters
Of a gruesome blue planet ruled by humanoid fish
Known as Homo-pisces with a fetish and fix
That consist of a dish made of humans and rice
An ancient recipe that’s been cruelly revised
With a santoku knife the tuna’s slow and precise
As it slices the hide of a terrified child
That was caught in the wild of a Tokyo town
Full of radioactive .. ashes and clouds
Ruins littered with capsules of humanity’s deeds
Back when fish went to school, but didn’t get a degree
And mankind was the peak of the animal kingdom
Cos no other species could stand a chance or defeat us
Back when “fins” couldn't breathe or even leave the marina
And we had mastered the art of how to clean and then eat em
Now they cleave and the feed us to every dolphin and shark
And no PETA or vegans could ever soften their hearts
Cos as smart as they are they still look to a time
When their ancestors lives were hooked and put on the line
So we could cook em and fry em with no remorse in our souls
boldly wining and dining over corpses and bones
But now the roles are reversed and we're the ones in the rolls
Being slowly devoured by baby Flounders and old...
Nemos and Dorys. Who could have pictured this story?
A categorical shift between human and prey
Went from an apex threat to being in the food chain
Now we're sushi filleted over boat shaped plates
Due to radiation exposure elevating their brains
Our societies folded, their anatomies changed
Started walking and talking like the ancient primates
Sprang up out of the water, every ocean and lake
And then they stood up straight and were colossal in size
Took control of the globe right in front of our eyes
See, we were weakened and sick; in no position to fight
In attempts to survive we retreated to tents
that were hidden inside of metropolitan jungles
Overflowing with vines, toxic garbage and rubble
The "fins" copied our culture and reinvented our customs
From North Korea to Russia, in every country they crushed us
In Chicago and London, to Nara in Japan they would terrorize Man
Until we faltered and broke and had to alter our tropes
Now "a salmon walks in a bar..." is not only a joke! Nooope...

Sup SELF look at you here playing Darwin, and may i say your verse was a cool
take on the picture, i was pretty much hooked from as early as The Fukushima
line, (which is the opening line as it happens), and it was on the surface quaint,
but when deleved it begins to expand & the mechanics start to appear, & the story
like the evolutional pace was brisk, it read rather pacey, this was littered with cool
helpful but blatant visuals to keep it themed, like the time scale being excelirated
due to contamination, its the little details that matter, (and that line where you
typed, "Back when fish went to school, but didn’t get a degree", just my opinion
here but if you had drop the word went, and replaced it with swam in, skools, you'd
forge a metaphor out of (FIN) thin air... lol), this was an entertaining read here, i
enjoyed it friend..peace.

The concept of this piece was brilliant, comedy factor on point. I was entertained the whole way through and thought you executed the storyline really well. Enjoyable drop.

I’m gonna leave some thorough feed soon when I’m not on my phone, but after a quick skim through - this is amazing!
