Calibra The competition's non-existent, stuck's started to care Next... Nep
I'll shatter these dudes, smash 'em in two
it's not a problem to batter the weakest cat in the crew Standard, it's true, you know we out to prove it stuck "kickin' Knowledge in the face", cos he don't know how to use it I'll douse these dudes in petrol, fuck the dunces Kiki didn't want this cat, but told us he's stuck for punches this no crew havin' faggot, he's nothin', he's toast We male, man, But when I strike, Cal's punches get stuck in the post For you, this tourny is just out of reach people call us gay, but these guys get to semi's when seein' Cal an me kik recovered from his illness? we was hopin' for death Took a break? Shit, we ain't even notice you left ain't no joking with Nep, you know I'm callin' the titles so we got Ki, Stuck, tch, still got my foot in the door of the final I feel bad a little, this is kids against men Cal an' Nep leave you in ya Graves. End. Kiki
No hate here, just a lot of fun. Now my Crew is known, but this'll be a tone setter, Cos when i split Nep and Cal, i'll be known as a Home wrecker, I've grown better, now i'm really making a name, Nep, how can you be more than 2nd best? You're chasin' the game, Biting without teeth, then smoked without reefer, Cal more shook by 'gades mention, than Jay peeping Ether, Of course he's my leader, and he helped refine Ki, But now he can find a kind reminder of why he signed me, Think you're fly so i ground you, wouldn't be sick if you found flu, KO in Round 2 like Bis, with a list of everything 'Shady' 'bout you, Nep is totally on the ball, but is he really though? Stuck on the same skill, so his rhymes are like his Videos, Hang together, online together.. Gonna do this 'til you're 30? Man, facing the adorable man couple, i'm battling Bert and Ernie, Guys leaving, but i'd quickly get a clue if i was you, Used to get through, part of the Era.. But can you keep up with the New? *Nep said he'd stalk and follow Big Game to try and ban him *Nas said Jay got murdered on Renegades in Ether *'Round 2 KO' was a diss from Canibus to Eminem *Nep posts football Vids, but gets ripped for using the same turn Stuck
'tournament wins are like "Bosses"', the rest is all fabled
How will you take over the world when I leave your leaders disabled? Take your crew blind to deaf, I'll put a raincheck on your strange fame Beat your Lame asses to the ground without even namechecking Big Game There; it's done, over, you just let it go to your head Fuck New Era man, you shoulda bought a Nepen Fez Your ignorance is piss, you ain't new, you past your time Cal,Is it short sightedness or just fog on the tyne? Check it, I can melt dry ice, so better worry when the wind comes Beat you bitches so fast that I'm looking like a kick drum (Now I'm obligated to holler 'Make kiki your leader' He's better rated, he's working, while you'z are strumming yo beavers) Whine bou fabricated personals, but bitch, I write in felt tip You no 'Secret Assassins', I can make your firing squad miss So Calibrate your punches, I shouldn't have to tell you that And tell your buddy Edward Cullen its time to consider quitting rap. Expo
(I may have to explain some Brit related punches to our american friends) Major Beef between these guys and big game To be blind and deaf is to be lame New Era is a type of baseball hat, A fez is a turkish hat, but any Brit will think of tommy cooper (i.e. a fucking dope) when thinking of a fez. am i wrong? Fog on the Tyne was a fuck awful song by famous geordie Paul Gascoigne. The river tyne is in newcastle. Cal is from Newcastle (a geordie is someone from newcastle) Nep and Cal both complain about people using fake personals Felt Tip is made of fabric, hence fabricating punches. New Eras profile page says they are 'a crew of secret assasins' Calibra, Calibrate Nepenthez - http://anyblog.org/gossip/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/robert-pattinson-hat-01.jpg Edward Cullen - http://www.myspace.com/theoriginalrook/photos/53873520 Difference? Damn... good verses on all of your parts... buuuuuut...
Gotta keep it 100 and thus, i'm a have to give my vote to Calibra & Nep. They both went in hard at Kiki and Stuck. Lots of hard-hitting punches. Last 3 bars of Calibra's verse were just cold! Obviously they were all directed at Kiki, but damn, those were knock out blows, and the rest of the verse was definitely nice, as well! Then Nep opens attackin Kiki... poor guy... some harsh words from his own crew mates... should make things a little more interesting now, anyway! "kik recovered from his illness? we was hopin' for death Took a break? Shit, we ain't even notice you left" Haha! Damn... just straight clownin the kid, but also stay hittin Stuck, as well! Good shit! Kiki came with a nice verse. I liked the "chasin the game" line. Could've used more multi's to help the flow. Also could've done without the filler lines. Definitely seen some nice plays, though... the 2nd Round KO reference was nice. All in all, a nice verse. This was Stuck's first tourney verse here in L.A., and unfortunately it showed. I see a lot of the attempts made, but don't see anything too hard-hitting. Also could've used more multi's, and some rhymes were off. All in all, this was a good battle, but both the battling and writing experience shined in Cal n' Nep's favour. Vote: Calibra/Nep |

Good battle, vote = Cal & Nep
Cal - Without being your best verse you landed a series of good hits...your battle style translates well to any opponent, really liked the subtlety in your set-ups 'the competition's non-existent'...creative punches, good ideas, liked the Twin Cowards & Consumer lines...failed to deliver was quality, sisters was a nice punch to end up with after the preceding lines, Kiki did a very good job of pre-empting those crew punches though, so not as effective. But still good. Nep - Good structure, as always, liked the transitions & alliteration in there, nice touches...you had good punches, some of your earlier ones in the verse didn't land that heavy for varying reasons (Kiki pre-empted the weakest cat punch, for e.g.) but I liked that stuck for punches, great flip & tag-based punch, stuck in the post wasn't as good...simply because Cal had a similar one, I liked your wordplay approach though...mail/strike, nice...semis was a good wordplay again but I'm a bit disgusted by the concept, so moving on...Illness punch was cold, and excellent follow up with noticed you'd left...and a decent closer, liked that kind of style punch to end on...was nice. Kiki - Did yourself justice and held your own against two very strong competitors, verse was fluid and I you had some good punches...opener was nice, Ether punch was witty...liked the shook aspect, though it was a bit flawed, I liked the reminder line...that was clever, very strong pre-empt and a good set-up punch for your next bar, more suitable to a unlimited lines type battle though, because it's more of a filler punch...I liked it because it weakened some of their punches though, so you got away with it...problem was, your next line flopped a bit...because Canibus dropped Second Round KO against LL Cool J, not Eminem (surprised Matt missed that)...for me that kind of threw your momentum off a bit too, but you had a transition punch which needed the next punch to be strong, the 2nd Round KO was definitely the right idea...but the Shady part was, well, shady...then you kind of fucked up again because video/really though is a contrived rhyme for me, you can work it but it doesn't come across naturally...was a decent idea, but thrown off by the rhyme...Bert & Ernie was a lol, and a good filler line...strong diss there, love that kind of setup...and the closer was excellent, good crew punch and points out that you're the new guy For me, you'd have needed all that to come together to keep up with established battlers like Nep & Cal, it was still good...but with little refinements it could have been a lot closer. Stuck - Strong opener, good crew attack...like how you & Kiki worked that inside/outside angle...and I liked the style of the Big Game punch, cocky, nice...next punch was very high quality, funny name flip, and good piss take on the crew name & a very good filler line...good good stuff, next line was coolio...liked the setup but the fog on the tyne was a bit basic, kick drum was ok...generic was it was ok, more like a jab...liked the Kiki your leader part, was that witty...strumming yo beavers seemed a bit lazy though, sure you could've come up with something much better than that! Felt tip was a decent idea, but for me you needed to link the fabricated concept to the felt tip part a lot better for it truly to be a line...had that potential though, because vets do tend to moan about made up personals...and I liked the firing squad punch, was solid if unremarkable, loved the filler on the closer...good idea & attitude, but the Cullen punch was a complete miss for me, I'm seeing very little resemblance there, shame too...because on a closer it hurts you Again, similar to Kiki really...you had a good verse with a miss and a couple of less strong punches, those kind of things tell in a short-line battle. But you did yourself justice and it was by no means a wipe-out, and Nep & Cal are established battlers...so you should take a lot away from that So yeah, it was a good battle...experience saw Cal & Nep though, they know how to get it done and register hits while ticking a lot of the other boxes, then have the stronger punches to get them over the line...Stuck & Kiki impressed me, but they just didn't have enough to close the gap...if they were more consistent then their positives could have made this a tough call, as it is, I think Nep & Cal had too much for them.

This was a really good battle, I'm gonna work a breakdown of it, hope this makes sense...
Cal, you had a decent opener. The "Consumer" line was pretty clever, the "postal" line was pretty good although it loses it's effect since both you guys used it as a reference in your verse. The last 6 lines worked well together and really killed! Nice verse!
Nep, weak opener for me, seemed pretty filler-ish if I'm being honest. The "Kickin knowledge" diss was good! Again, the postal diss woulda been better if only one of you had used it, still an ok diss. I'm sure Stuck has heard alot of postal disses as well as Gravesend disses, still a decent finish.
I think Cal really stepped up for this one, to me his was the better verse.
Good opener, Kiki. To me, Kiki had the best verse in the battle. To me his set-ups were better, his personals were better and I lol'd at the Bert and Ernie line. He was on point with the crew talk, which really took the sting off Cal's closer. People shouldn't sleep on this verse.
I think Cuba called it on stuck's, this had the makings of a very smart verse but alot of his concepts weren't seen through like they should've been. Good opener, cool play on their crew page. I did like the idea of bypassing the Big Game nameplays, very smart as it's been played to death. I also like the "make KiKi leader", even though they coulda been played upon better. The Edward Cullen diss missed, if you would've had something to tie it together, it might've hit, but not as a closer.
To me, Kiki and Cal had the best 2 verses here. I think KiKi's verse really stood-up to the disses on him very well and proved he's able to hang. I think Nep played it safe and Stuck missed with poor execution on some good concepts. MVGT - Kiki and Stuck.

Cal - flow was on point, some punches were good others were played (9/11 was weak). Some ok personals liked the sisters one on Kiki, not the hardest but decent.
Nep - Again nice flow, some interesting schemes in there. Gay stuff was weak, graves end was ok, alot of filler here, some better stuff. Kiki - Ok flow fell off a little bit in places through bad wording. Bert and Ernie was best punch of the battle, a lot of filler besides that, not bad though. Stuck - Flow was a little disjointed, it was like there was 2 verses one after the other, they flowed well within themselves but not together. Alot of forcing punches and some played/filler shit (kick drum was mega weak) I liked the fog on the tyne line. Overall - I think Cal/Nep take it purely because Cal had |
