The Anti-Matter Theory
I'm worth about a hundred stones and rubies Movin' thru the streets of Egypt rockin' a kufi Golden Uzi on my side with the banana clip Watch ya lip or you'll get hit ... lift ya spirit Up outta ya body, Nigga I embodie, the soul of Malcolm X Black & Gold African necklace dangles from my neck I respect the hexes of Haitian witch doctors That know which chakras effect ya subconscious Nigga I promise ... I drop knowledge like trees In the Garden of Eden -- so fuck college Where you graduate with honors To get a degree in nonsense I'm like why bother with ya politics and bullshit Ya holy fathers and pulpits? I want dollas! Not useless excuses, I want profits, not prophets Like Judas we hung from them nooses And dangled from trees as you ate of the strange fruit That swayed in the breeze ... like Papua New Guinea You cannibal theives -- your greed is agregious...I'm Idi Amin The Last King of Scottland that buried the Queen [Nigga FREEZE! Take a moment And... BREATHE!] I keep having these dreams... I'm Haile Selassie and mixed with Gaddafi I'm sippin' on coffee and talkin to Garvey Drawing pictures with Gandi as we listen to Marley [Shit's gnarly Yeah I said The shit's... Gnarly] I want to par..lay with Black Panther Par..tay Cause part of the problem is Niggas stop participating In the principle politics of revolution Instead we believed what Darwin said And put an end to our evolution I'm a fusion of Mayan and Olmec culture An Aztec solider, an abstract sculpture Mold'n pyramids outta Atlas's shoulders Rosetta Stone roll'a, with both eyes closed But my third eye's scopin', zoom lense, focus Absorb what you see then open doors With mental keys that lead to both ends of eternity So nigga PLEASE!!! How could I ever be a sellout? My soul isn't free, but the fee is 33x the bailout So get the 'Hell out'...like Hercules escape from Tarturus Who the hell you know that's as hard as this artist is? Give you food for thought when I grow crops like harvest this Pardon this execution of the rhyme I'm on death row -- a Sugar Hill Don I got ties to Roemello, but hell no, I won't go Down the same 'Road' as Hillcoat Cause I know, that we know, what what it feel like To sleep nights with no pillows, just hardwood floors In the middle of a kill zone, the ghetto is riddled With stories like this -- I just bring em to surface 'Case the media forgets ... and I'm out! |

dope verse. historical reference can be a hollow approach and even corny if in the wrong hands but i think you had a solid foundation behind the purpose. again, very clever title ha! welcome bro and you already know, its not priority but courtesy to feed other people's verse around here. plus it keeps OM alive lol!

First off, even though I recognized the name, it took me until I read your writing to remember where I knew you from. Whatdup Self, good to you here! Overall the consistent mythical/ancient references paired with some real knowledge and a constant flow really delivered something special here. Memorable verse man, definitely 5 star material. Hope you stick around and give this site another top tier writer

@Sammy, thanks for the invite bro. This board seems pretty dope thus far.
@Nimga, what up man? I was wondering where you've been posting. But, uh,thanks for the feed man. I know you dig the whole conscious/mystical type subject matter and I know you understand the social political aspects as well so I'm glad you actually liked the verse. Respect. |

This is some thoroughly great stuff. I, for one, loved the concepts you incorporated, from ancient egypt to darwinic matters - and I'm all for that. You also presented a very interesting array of philosophical and tangible issues. Remarkable historic events were seemingly effortlessly woven into your overall scheme, and this is also one of the highlights of this verse, because everything fitted in so well. The Roemello reference was amazing, along with the Olmec culture couplet. You really demonstrated detailed knowledge here. I also appreciate the cleverness in your title. There's actually nothing to negatively criticise here, your flow and rhyme patterns were smooth yet interesting enough to keep the pace in such a verse. This was a very enjoyable read! Hope to read more.

So sorry, I promised this two days ago.
I'm worth about a hundred stones and rubies Movin' thru the streets of Egypt rockin' a kufi Golden Uzi on my side with the banana clip Watch ya lip or you'll get hit ... lift ya spirit Up outta ya body, Nigga I embodie, the soul of Malcolm X Black & Gold African necklace dangles from my neck Immediately set the tone and a vivid picture of where we're going. Love the X line. Nigga I promise ... I drop knowledge like trees In the Garden of Eden -- so fuck college Where you graduate with honors To get a degree in nonsense I'm like why bother with ya politics and bullshit Ya holy fathers and pulpits? I want dollas! This part is sweet. I have no idea on how to flow it but I'm sure once done, it sounds sick. You cannibal theives -- your greed is agregious...I'm Idi Amin The Last King of Scottland that buried the Queen So, he couldn't marry the Queen and opted to bury her instead. Good job on the reference. I keep having these dreams... I'm Haile Selassie and mixed with Gaddafi I'm sippin' on coffee and talkin to Garvey Drawing pictures with Gandi as we listen to Marley Gave me that Kendrick vibe here, for some reason. Anyway the metaphorical value is sick. The Ethiopian Jesus mixed with the most fashionable dictator out there, talking to Ghandi and Garvey over hot coffee? Count me in! I want to par..lay with Black Panther Par..tay Cause part of the problem is Niggas stop participating In the principle politics of revolution Instead we believed what Darwin said And put an end to our evolution Pointing out social issues here. Nice. I'm a fusion of Mayan and Olmec culture An Aztec solider, an abstract sculpture Mold'n pyramids outta Atlas's shoulders Rosetta Stone roll'a, with both eyes closed But my third eye's scopin', zoom lense, focus Absorb what you see then open doors With mental keys that lead to both ends of eternity At first I wanted to quote the first two bars, but then I reread it and thought to myself "This part is so insane, I gotta put it all in". Honestly, man. The whole piece is a quotable so I'm not even gonna bother anymore. The seemless transitions from "scum" to "wisdom", ancient cultures and pimp dictators.... Sheesh. 9/10, and it's a 9 because I want to see more. BODYBAG!

Whoa, E!
Thanks for the feed, man. It was fun just reading it. One thing, that Idi Amin line is actually a little more complex than him just burying the Queen tho. But, it needs singular context. I'll come back later and explain it from my perspective. Good looking out! |
