   The vacant, empty page already holds the lettersThe ink is making payments out to all its debtors
To release the confiscated pieces at its leisure
And place them face to face to piece them back together

As if the overriding thought was there forever
And the meaning of the feeling of it brought together
The person and the paper, making stormy weather
That borne this verbal porcelain and formed a treasure

This is us observing us to make us better
Us is we, we all are one, by any measure
Diamonds from the rough like coal that's under pressure
Producing precious gems to bring a moments pleasure

The page, no longer vacant, now displays its letters
The ink has made its payments out to all its debtors
The message has expressed itself, we wonder whether
'You' will join the 'We' and be as one forever
