Criminal Round Murder Burglary/Robbery Assault Espionage Smuggling Kidnapping Cybercrime Drug Dealing Monster Round Vampires Mummies Werewolves Zombies Demons Wraith Djinn Siren While I am a bit busy working, give ya'll time to vote on which you like better and/or make your own suggestions or adding onto what I have above for this round. Keep in mind there will be 8 battles as well so the theme needs to fit that. |

Seems like monsters is winning out at the moment.
Also, if you have any more input on the categories feel free to chime in. I'd rather it be more of a monster species as whats above, than specific monsters such as frankenstein or dracula though. I don't want the stories to be based off of them. Rather you guys create your own off of the monster given for the battle.

I believe how I am going to make this round work. Instead of doing a specific monster for each thread.
I will come up with a larger list of the more classic style monsters, and all of the battlers can pick whichever they want to use from the list or use more than one if it fits the needs of their story or verse. |

Having thought about it I'm probably 60/40 in favour of criminal activities. Rationale being there's more scope to tell interesting stories. That is dampened by the recent ILLiad round in Topical Twist.
On the flip side, not sure how dynamic people can be with a monsters round? It is more unusual and stretching though, so maybe we throw it out there and see who sinks and swims. |

That would make it a little too broad. I don't want the verses to end up having one that went to the classic monster route and another that did a 'subliminal' monster based on a relatable human character like an abusive husband/father. Just an example, but I want it to have room for creativity but also similar enough to get the proper judge from voters. Staying away from actual stories and horror films. I don't want stories about Frankenstein, freddy kruger or jason. These are to be your own creative stories. I don't want them pooled off of or the 'story-telling' concepts bitten from what is already there. I am, however, extending the monster list a bit from what is there already. Themes such as masked monster, boogeymans, etc will be on the list. But it needs to be your own story.
