170kg's last week, (3 sets, 3 reps, 2 reps, 1 rep)

This week  -  175 kg's, 1 set, 3 reps. Fuck me it hurt :D

Nice weight, i have doing dead lift my back always goes but that's probably cause i lift (well try to lift) too much...good for you though

Also the dude in the far side seemed to have a thing for u...

Haha, nah we train together sometimes. He's MASSIVE and only 22. He was watching because it was the first time I attempted it, and as you can hear, I make a fair bit of noise when I lift, so the whole gym seems to just look....

Max Bench 1 rep is 125 KG's

(Which is 275 lbs)

I actually only got it last week too, was 115 KG's before that.

in lew of this, i tried to deadlift seriously for the first time ever...

a few friends of mine where doing a deadlift set, so i jumped into the rotation..
and i managed 105KG's, which is around 230lbs... considerin' im 6.2' and only 163lbs i was quite happy with it... could have gone slightly higher too perhaps, though it was a bit of a struggle to get the weight up.

both my other friends did 125KGS for 5 reps, which was good too..
i go to the gym about 3 times a week, but usually do the machines, pull ups, push ups, dips etc.. may start working the freeweights more..

Freeweights are the way forwards man. You wont ever gain serous muscle doing just the machines. You need to do the compound movements, Deadlifts, Squats, Bench Press, Clean and Press to really structure your core to be able to do the isolation movements on the machines. I struggled too hard at 175 KG's. I'm not doing deadlifts for 10 weeks now though, I've got a new routine, so when I go back, I'll move back down to around 140. Looking back, 175 was way outta my zone. I could have done myself some serous damage lifting that. Thankfully I didn't.

yeah, very true, felt a real pump lifting the free/ bigger weights after i was done, makes you want to keep going..

though theres alot of big dudes in tha gym lol, feel sorta out of place, i have a thinnish physique and cant lift that much free weights, but am pretty all round athletic..

how many times you go to the gym a week?, whats your routine and diet like?...

Forget the other guys man. You think they started out that size? They know what it feels like to want to be bigger, and what it feels like to be out of place. If anything, ask them for advice, tips, routines, to spot you etc. 

I train 5 times a week. I never do cardio, either. I train about 75 minutes per session. 

I've just started a new routine, for muscle growth, after a 12 week strength program, and this is what I currently do :

Day 1 : Back

- 1 Arm standing dumbell row : 4 sets, 10 reps.
- Close gripped pull downs : 3 sets, 12 reps
- Bent over row : 4 sets, 12 reps.
- Standing cable reverse fly's : 3 sets, 12 reps

Day 2 - Chest

- Incline Dumbell press : 4 / 10
- Flat dumbell press : 3 / 12
- Decline Bench press : 4 / 10
- Fly machine : 3 / 12

Day 3 - Shoulders / Triceps

Shoulders
- Standing Barbell press : 4 / 10
- Upright row : 3 / 12
- Standing Arnie Press : 4 / 10
- Side raises : 3 / 12

Triceps
- Close bench press : 4 / 10
- Rope Extensions : 3 / 12
- Parallel Dips : 3 / 12

Day 4 - Legs

- walking lunges 4/12
- squats 3/12
- leg extensions 4/10
- seated leg curl 3/12
- standing calf raises 4/10

Day 5 - Biceps / Abs

Biceps :

-Incline curl 4/12
-arnie curls 3/12
-dumbell hammer curls 3/12
-preacher curls to failure.

Abs : 100 crunches x 3, then I do  stuff with the big ball too.

Most importantly, over weight, you need to make sure the technique is right. Its also very healthy to have a dedicated training partner. You'll never work out to your max on your own, but with someone, you'll progress quicker than you could imagine.

As for eating habits, I eat 6 meals a day. 2 big meals, 1 being directly after a work out, and 4 small meals. Breakfast is very very important, because it speeds up your metabolism. If you want to bulk, you need to take in around 3,000 calories a day. Eat clean and lean though, no saturated fats, burgers etc etc. Also, don't eat carbs up to 4 hours before you go to bed. So if you generally go to bed at midnight, don't eat carbs after 8pm - because they just get stored in your body and turn to fat.

i tried a million times to bulk up but never works lol since i quit boxing im so out of shape an need a new way to bulk i might try ur ruitine out at a smaller rate an see if it works for me lol cheers for puttin that up..

Yeah man. I've got 2 weeks left on a 12 week creatine course, and I have an energy drink called "Shock Therapy" - Look it up on Bodybuilding.com. Its a powder base drink, but you take it 30 minutes before training, and you get very focused, and have a lot of energy. I'd say it gives anything up to 15% more than you would have. I change the routine every 10-12 weeks. 

To the other guy, you could potentially notice changes in 2-3 weeks. If you're dedicated enough

Skinny to ripped, fat to muscle, fat to skinny, anorexic to healthy, every type - if anything, its inspiring, but you also get caught up reading about other people lives. Its madness :D

Just keep reading the site. There are a lot of helpful people on there. Start your own thread, with pics, and people will give you tons of advice.

Yo. Nep - What's your bench now? I just got 385 lbs on Monday, going for 400 lbs on Friday or Monday. I'm still fat as fuck, but my max has been going up like 15 lbs a week, supplement-free. I'm repping 300 now...
