They compare him to Big Pun, to me that sounds insane The only thing thats about the same, is the amount he weighs!! Hot, hot battle. Stalin, some solid shots. The weight one, albeit a little over used, was still hot. Rep bar was good, poetry bar was nice, 2 closing bars were hot. A little bit of filler in there, but flowed well, some good shots. Jehu, you just came correct here. Nice flips, solid punches, consistent verse. Arguably, one of the best battle verses I've seen from you. Opener was a bit blah, 2nd bar was also not a great punch, but rhymed well, still ok, from there on in, this verse took off. Great set ups, Beef / Chicken shit was funny as hell, DNA bar was real hot too. All in all, a close battle, but with an obvious winner. Quite a close one really, closer than the votes would have you believe. I wouldn't say there was an 'obvious' winner as such, as Stalin had some pretty filthy shots, such as the closer which was the best line of the battle, and the pac line was very nicely constructed indeed. However I don't think the rest of the verse matched up; I would even go as far as to say that the majority of the verse wasn't as nice as I have seen you come with before. This verse would beat most of the heads on this site, in that is was nicely rhythmic and the punches hit. Hving said that, Jehu came very nicely indeed, keeping it consistently offensive; DNA and the opener stood out. Hoe and housewife line raised a laugh which is important, and I obviously don't need to tell you that the rest of it as technically excellent (this applies to both verses). In the end, I feel Jehu did enough to take this for the reasons above, in that the punches were consistently better, although it was naturally close; a battle of this calibre always will be. I feel Jehu took it on this occasion. v. KJ ------------- |
