The battlefields are currently closed while the mods and myself clean it up and close what battles need closing. Once this is done they will be reopened solely for votes to close the remaining battles. After all of the battles have been closed and the battlefields are empty, they will be reopened for new battles. This is not unprecidenced, as they were closed like 5yrs ago while the same thing happened. DJFlame will back me up, as LA's self-appointed historian. Back then it was because the Battlefields got to 3 battles I believe. Now it is a consistant 5-6 pages, with 20 battles per page. There is no time frame for this, it will happen once it is ready. I suggest you all take this time to read the http://www.lyricalassault.co.uk/about/rules_site.htm" rel="nofollow - Site Rules and http://www.lyricalassault.co.uk/battles/rules.htm" rel="nofollow - Site Battle Rules , as once the battlefields are reopened anyone breaking these rules will receive a Battling Ban. This is a new form of ban which will block your access to the battlefields for an appropriate time frame. Continuation would result in site ban. -------------  |

Anything that is not a verse or a vote is considered an up. The rules clearly state how often you can up your battles. Breaking the Site Battle Rules will result in a Battling Ban. So yeah, work it out for your self. ------------- |

Quick question about battles that where open when the fields closed do the time limits for the Mc to drop a verse do they get extended for the time the fields were closed because I got a open battle with rapper t an havnt droped my bars yet on the count I cant at the moment I just dont wanna take a no show or have it moved to no mans land. Just wondering how that circumstance would be handled by the gracious mods of la ------------- |

I've been sensible. If your battle isn't there - it's been deleted because 1) it was filled with too much discussion about bullshit and no verses. 2) had a LUDICROUS limit. 3) it was to shit. 4) All of the above ------------- |

I have no problem with an extended deadline, within reason, since it is impossible to show. Though if the deadline is/was a month, a few days while the fields are down, isn't going to be a very good excuse. ------------- |

And an even better idea than shutting down the callouts section that I proposed. Scotty, thanks for letting the steam cool off ( and I say that respectfully) and coming up with ideas to help right the wrongdoing. I hope everyone tries to handle everything responsibly so things will consistenly run smoothly.

Stage one of the clean up is complete. All battles have been closed, rest either need votes or verses. Stage two, getting the battles already there closed, will begin tomorrow morning. This will give you time to read the battles rules which have been updates. No Man's Land is still open and there are battles in there. Go check if it includes one of yours and post your verse if it does. Congratulations to Rameez who becomes the first to get slapped the fuck down and put on the naughty step. He was able to hold out for a total of 10 whole minutes, before succumbing to the highly additive urge to up his battle after receiving a vote. Ram (and others soon to be 'Battling Ban' victims) can access all forums they normally would, except they cannot post in Call Outs or Battlefields. So tournament would is fine. ------------- |

Honestly, there is no point in upping a battle at this point. Like Scotty said, the battlefield will be open UNTIL all the battles get finished (verses and votes). Therefore, upping it is pointless (as it usually is)... -------------
