After discussions with Scotty, we've come to the following decisions: 1. The tag tournament and audio tournament are to be scrapped. Unfortunately we don't have the expertise to run the audio & since nobody has submitted verses for tag tourneys you as a community have determined that it is not a priority. 2. The text and topical tournies will go ahead. I will run both of these. 3. I will be implementing deadlines for battles, if you do not meet a deadline you will receive a site ban. In the interests of transparency I'll list applicable judges below: - Any moderator / admin (includes Law, J Brenn, Hanging, Scotty) - Any veteran (so me & Stalin!!) - Nominated community judges (these are Levy, Shankley, Ill Scripturez) - Arthur - Exoduzt - Nigma - Manc - Zin - Concrete I will add to this list as & when I deem fit. If you are interested in supporting these tournaments as a judge please PM me. Other rule updates: 1. Battles will be posted when ready for votes, it will not happen "behind closed doors" 2. Judges vote how best they see fit, not in predetermined criteria SS laid out. 3. Any posts in thread from non-judges (including participants) will result in bans -------------

I'd like to judge. I don't really fit any of that criteria, unless of course the community are willing to nominate me. I'd mainly like to judge the text as opposed to the topical. |

| Good shit Cuba. As for text, are we still following the old plan SS laid put? Regarding flipping, types of battles and stuff. Personally I would prefer just standard battles all tha way, just my opinion tho. |

I will decide this in due course...anyone who knows me knows I'm not a great fan of picture battles. Just to be clear, round 1 follows the initial plan and I will inform everyone of subsequent changes as and when I decide. -------------

Judges can vote on whatever battle they like, I'm going to trust you to have integrity but reserve the right to not count your vote. Law, no prescribed format...again, I'm trusting judges to be fair and give good quality votes. -------------

Art, I'm currently holding back votes until the battles are complete...ideally the votes will land with enough speed that I'm able to release the results in a wave (to try and live up to the spirit of the tourney). But at a bare minimum until the battle is complete (it can be done with 2 votes!!)...so don't worry, all your votes will be counting -------------

Concrete had some highlight from the closed text battles spell on u, vulnerable on the net, heatwave goodbye, stray hound were good plays and hits. Nomeds opener was strong, sky vs absolute needed tweaking but was a nice play. Sals suspending noobs hit was my favourite of that one. Zin had the roofer bars which was dope and the 0-6 bar was a good hit, holy relic and t overboard were decent aswell. ------------- #bananas

All topical battles are now closed, I will be revealing winners tonight & will be putting thought into how the next rounds will go. Hopefully I will get the information posted up over the weekend. It's likely to be another 2 week deadline. Thanks to the judges for helping to keep this moving & for the quality of votes. -------------

Original rules I believe were 16 lines throughout the entire tournament, but I will take it under consideration. -------------
