As part of a relaunch of the CLASSICS section we have come up a new set of criteria that you will have to submit your nominations against. The mod team and a selected group of experienced LA members will review selected nominations (tbd by myself) and then either inaugurate or come back with a post explaining why we didn't go for that drop.
Without further ado, the new criteria are:
1. SIGNIFICANT MOMENTS - Represents a significant moment in the history of LA. Helps new members understand LA from a chronological point of view and reminds old members of what's happened in the past. - A high profile battle that either lived up to or exceeded expectations. For example, a tourney final where both guys went all out, or a title defence that was epic (either close or because one of the guys dropped a verse so good it totally eclipsed the other guy)
2. RESPECT THE TECHNIQUE - Demonstrates exceptional quality in one or more technical elements. I.e. Is a perfect example of how to use metaphors or multis.
3. STAND OUT - A tourney or event verse which shone out amongst the others. Doesn't have to be a significant moment, just exceptional quality within the context of a wider series of events. - Stands the test of time. Can read it months/ years later and still has the same quality.
Where there a multiple sub definitions you only need to meet one of those definitions to nominate.
Please nominate on the below thread on LA Magazine:
