 Round Rules - 25-40 Lines - Battlers will be anonymous - Votes will be hidden - Due date will be in battle threads. - Best of 5 for the 1st round - Verses can be changed/edited until the battle is up If you reveal who you are to someone and I find out, you are immediately disqualified. Please vote in the battle thread and Do Not PM Them We have a few reserve battlers to fill in for no shows this round as well. How the anonymous battles will work? Each member will be given a number. Ex. Battler 1 vs Battler 5. You will be pm'd your number with the link to the appropriate thread as each battle is set up. I will keep track of who is who, so if at anytime you forget, just shoot me a pm. Also, bare with me on the PM's as I am limited to send only 10 an hour so it will take some time to get everyones battle set up. The battler will then pm me his verse, I will post it as battler 1... vs battler 5.. And the voters will vote based on that. At the end of the tournament it will all be revealed as to who beat who. Round one topic theme: Picture Round As we have so many battles going up this time around, I thought a common theme might get a bit repetitive. So for the first round each battle will have a picture placed in it that both battlers must write their topical on. Be creative with it, think outside the box and have fun. I look forward to reading all of your verse and voting on these. The games will begin in due time. If you have any questions, post them here, send me a pm or use skype. Okay topical Twist is finished. I will start setting up the battle threads and then sending out the PMs.
Names will be drawn out of hat. Give it time as I can only send 10 pms an hour. Also, heads like manc, Titu, DTK, goose and others that aren't typically around consistently but others have contact with outside. Let them know that it will be underway today and to check their pms to see what battler number they are. ------------- |

I can't reply back to the questions at the moment because of the PM limitations. But to elaborate. The verses are due to be pm'd to me on April 5th. The April 7th due date is if there are any no shows, the reserves that fill in will have until the 7th to send me their verse.

Also, something I wanted to add, I'll update the main post above. If you need to edit or polish anything you can do so until the battle is up. So if you send me something and later on decide you wanted to change a few lines or write something entirely different that is allowed. Essentially, "The verses aren't in, until the battle is up" ------------- |

Current state of play: 9 verses (of 32) submitted. One battle is already closed. No battles currently open for votes. Deadline is looming. Remember to plan time to write your verses and submit to Law. Don't risk getting Law will a clogged up inbox and try and submit early. If you are having trouble for a legitimate reason (i.e. not that you can't be arsed) then speak up sooner rather than later. Deadline is the 5th. -------------

I'm in the middle of trying to find 2 more replacements for those. If anyone can network out to anyone. I'd like to get all the battles up for this round. 2 are definite, just need 2 more definite verses coming in. and pm me if you have anyone willing as I want them to be a secret. As it's almost the reserve due date tomorrow, I can extend the 2 incomers until sun and will just band together to get those voted on quickly when they come up so we can move along. ------------- |

I was thinking we could have a Black list where if you no show a tourney you go on the list then we reserve the right to either a) deny you entry into a tournament; b) put you as a second priority entrant...so if someone else enters they would get your place. You'd only get off the list by either doing lots of votes on a tourney or by being a reserve and showing up. -------------

| This was probably the most successful first round of any tournament that I've seen in over a decade. Not only did almost everyone show, but almost everyone voted (quality at that) and, even more impressive, damn near every verse was well written and executed. Props to all the participants. Super props to all the tourney oraganizers and moderators. |

I'm actually pretty happy it was all done without myself having to vote as I know who each of the parties are. Majority would trust me voting anyways, I'm sure there are some that think it'd be some kind of conspiracy, but I feel it's better this way that every vote was completely in the blind. ------------- |
