Many years ago, we had a paid for account to help cover the costs of hosting and such. I am considering bringing it back and would like the communities help in deciding the features it'll have. If you have no interest in paying for extra features then you should stop reading now as it is not for you. If you would be interested in supporting the site, your suggestions would be very welcome. At the moment, features I am considering are:
Any suggestions on further features would be welcome. I would also be interested on price points people would be prepared to pay. |

like the idea and would like to contribute to the site.
i don't like the free entry into pay to play tournaments though, prize would be smaller at the end. though getting first dibs on entering those tournaments would be a good idea. like when the law did the c4c he pm'd certain members before offering it out to the rest of the site. the other perks are all good ideas. i'll try and think of other things.

I'd be down for it, as long as the features are worth it....
Free entry to pay tournaments is cool.
As far as what else to offer....I'll give it some thought and post up later. But I like the idea for those looking to help the site and increase features for themselves as well.

This is a good idea, I was thinking like £5-£10 (I think its $7.50-$15) a month is fair prica and I agree with Art about the pay to play it's better to give dibs on the places, that way the pot remains the same but still offering something extra to the paying public.

Trizzy, flat fee? Isn't that what a consistent monthly charge is? Unless of course you are thinking of a one off fee, which this definitely won't be.
JB, the idea is to have people tell me how much they are willing to pay for what extra features. The last time I had this it only had maybe 3 people, excluding tourney winners who had it as a prize. So I was interested in what people would like at what cost to try and make it a bigger success. Though it should be looked at more as supporting the site and getting exclusive goodies as a bonus. |

If I had any sort of income from the site to help with running costs, then yes I would consider either purchasing a better chat option or even bringing back the old built-in one that everyone loved.

Another feature I forgot to add to the potential features list is Featured Open Mics / Audio Mics, as suggested by Law I believe in the chatroom.
The idea I have for it is, anyone with a Premium Account would be able to select any one of their open mics and one of their audio mics to feature at the top of the respective forum. I envisage it to look similar to how General shows it's sub-forums with a separate box. The box would display 5 randomly picked Featured threads on each page load. So if there was 5 features threads in total they would all display in a random order. If there was 10, it would show 5 different threads on each page load. They may or may not display else where on the site, such as the homepage. TBH I haven't thought through it fully yet. Any more feedback on price points people would be interested in paying would be great. It will most likely be one price per month, and a discounted per year price. For example, if it was £5/month it might be £50/year. |

would there be a limit as to how many people can have a premium account?
is it automatic? or would you have to approve if somebody can have a premium account? will you include things like suspended premium accounts for trolling and other stupid shit, kinda like the battling ban? will people be refunded if they pay for a premium but then get banned from the site?

No, it is simply a way to help cover the costs of LA, while giving people extra's that aren't really 'needed' but people want. A limit would be pointless, besdies, idealy everyone would have a premium account 
It will be automatically applied once the payment is received, likely from PayPal at this stage, but I would be looking into other methods as well.
Not sure what you mean, But I likely won't be pausing PA's if someone trolls, it will simply run until it expires.
TBH I don't really know how to handle that. PA won't prevent someone from being banned or give someone a free pass to break the rules. At the moment I will be going with "Tough shit, it's your fault for breaking the rules" but I may look at the better ways of handling it. Refunds would be difficult, since I would be using PayPal I am not sure if you can do partial refunds, as it would need to be a kind of pro-rata refund on the remaining or lost time. |

^^It can be done fairly easily, but you'd have to round it to the next month rather than effective from day of banning. That would make it an easy thing to calculate, but on the refund front I'd just run a "no refunds" policy. Otherwise you'll get people demanding refunds every time they get beef and decide to "leave."
