Alright...I know I ain't that great..so don't tell me I just suck...

Some constructive critisim is what I would like...tips and such..

Oh and tha production isn't great..I'm just learnin'...but whatever

A couple slain
with a couple blows - From...
A couple strays
from the gun he holds - Thus...
A couple brains
from a couple skulls - Touch...
The puddles rain
above the chrome - Must...
His mother wait
for her son at home - What...
He doesn't say
of what she knows - But...
She wasn't sane
with another dose - Of...
A drug she takes
going up her nose - Thug...
Is just a claim
that he runs with so - Sluts...
Will come and play
for the fun and mo' - Bucks...
To stun his name
they'll clutch his throat - Cuts...
Above his veins
with a ton of hope - Crushed...
And bloody stains
on another note - "Fuck...
The love you gave,
you are just a ho" - Trust...
Is what he breaks
from his mother hold - Drunk...
To numb the pain
till the tunnel glows - Up...

This is exactly my point SS,
you can tell that Lucky is a good emcee and we all know he is a good writer, but production str8 fucked him here.

That helped.

This was a nice dramatic piece.
If you took that to the studio and finished it, it would be a hit.
It had a vey deep vibe to it.
Once you posted the lyrics and I read along with it, I was really feeling it..
as far as criticsm:
the obvious...but aye what can ya do about the production when it's some home made music?
Ovewrall...nice piece

Lyrically, very nice sir...I liked the creativity of it. In terms of audio, I didn't like the pauses in between your lines so much...it came across as a bit repetitive. Like it was too much, should've tried to vary it. Production-wise, I can't tell you too much about that.

In terms of delivery and such like, it's mainly practice and you'll get better. Listen to your stuff as well, I think that helps.

I thought it was decent but fuck going to a studio, you don't need a studio to sound good. Go to a studio when you plan to make money off your music, otherwise you're throwing money away out of pure retardedness. All you need for good production values in rap is (most importantly) a good Ear, a basic knowledge of noise reduction, compression/limiting and mixing. That's it. If you pay for that shit when you're not actually going for a career, you're wasting money.

thank you for the link Lucky.

you know what. I like this, because i've done a similiar song before, over a renegades beat no less. the flow is there, production isn't an issue, you're audible and thats the main part. Maybe next time, turn the beat down a little bit, the piano was REALLY loud. I had to turn down right away. In hip hop, it's not the same as other genre's where you want the instrumental to be focal, in hip hop, vocals are key. So don't feel timid about having loud vocals, after a bit you'll find a nice medium. I felt I could help you there so you can get a 'better sound'.. since you wanted to learn about mixing. Also, with your mic being dynamic. cutting out some of the mid-range-eq and boosting the hi's a bit will come off with more 'clarity', it'll be more 'brittle', butt he clarity will shine. Don't be afraid of reverb either.. it is your friend. For heavier tracks a nice wet one sets it off right, for lighter beats a good dry one will go along way. I hoped this helped. I liked your track, and keep posting man. Thanks again for the link.
