I personally think it should be stopped cause it definitely needs a rethink. I thought the first season went really well but its the transition of season and the no-show policy that need changing. Im not sure of a way to keep it consistant as each season goes by but my no-show idea is maybe if you miss the deadline you have 24 hours to post, and after those 24 hours you get the N. Maybe you could start with 3 lives, if you miss the intial deadline you lose a life, then if you haven't posted after 24 hours you lose another life. Once you lose the 3rd life which would be the next time you're late you're kicked out of the league. Also would be nice to have a standard time limit that isn't changed mid way through the season with no warning prior to the thread.

Whats the point of ALLOWING a 24 hour extension? May aswell just make them due a day later. I'm going to stay strict on the rules. It'll be the only way to make sure people get the verses in on time. This will continue. However, I'm going to put the next battles up NEXT FRIDAY (And there will be plenty of warning) - due to the fact people will be breaking up from school, and will have more time to drop. In the new year, after this season, it will become a 1 division battle league. I'll work out how thats going to work, in the near future.

Let's stop discussing how members could keystyle verses on the toilet in ten minutes between wanks...  ¿Are we going to go through this after every no-show...?  No... so let's come up with a system and stick to it...

Restart the two-week trial with random battlers as before...  The top battlers of each league can form the new top division... the bottom placed battlers in each league can form the bottom division... with all those in-between...  New participants must start from the bottom and work their way up each division before competing for first place in the top division...

Since each round of battles takes over a week to complete before the next round... fewer members in each league would make each season shorter...  Shorter seasons would require participants to be more active to avoid relegation...  Having six battlers in each league should make each season run no longer than a couple of months...  Any more frequent than this would require activity on an antisocial level...  Any less and seasons would drag on and new participants would have to wait longer before joining a new season...

The Battle League is a representation of the best, active battlers...  If you are not active then you should keep your position in the league... but lose points for each no-show...  All the opponents you no-show against will earn points... and you will drop down the rankings...  This could lead to fewer battles for some leagues... which is fine...  All battlers who are inactive for a full season will be relegated... but not kicked out of the League altogether...  This potentially opens up extra spaces for promotion from lower leagues to keep the number of participants constant...

There does not need to be a big drama every time somebody no-shows...  Yes... it can be frustrating... but sometimes cannot be helped... especially if continuous activity is demanded from every member just to keep things running smoothly...  Enforce a rule to handle no-shows as and when it happens... then move on...  To be promoted... or to be named the best active battler on LA... we must be active for the most part of one season...

If members choose not to submit a verse because they think their opponent will no-show... they will also be treated as a no-show and be deducted points...  Members who leave verses until the last minute in case their opponent no-shows risk posting an easily beatable verse...  Members who are afraid of wasting prewritten punchlines against an opponent who may not show are pussies and deserve to be beaten...  Extensions to deadlines may be given at the Moderators' discretion...

The next round of each season may be started whenever they are scheduled to begin... regardless of whether the previous round is over or not...

Best way to go forward may be to restart the trial with new sign-ups...  There are guaranteed to be no-shows...  How we deal with them will determine the success or failure of the new battle system...
