Manc - Don't like the opener, the wordplay is clever but it doesn't work in the literal sense, which is the point of wordplay, nice rhyme & good opening diss but the punch falls down...going to assume the Jew fact is true and say the second punch is much stronger, great metaphor & internal rhyme to accentuate it then a solid follow up on the rules hit, much better & a nice follow on concept with your hasidic idea (even if that didn't work as well)...next punch is ok, don't necessarily accept the premise of it that he'd be a big dog if he could run a tourney...think you've really tried to tie two hits together there & it's not worked as well as it could have...either call him a lightweight or diss him for admin fuckups on the tourney, they would've been stronger separately...filler was a bit cheesy as well, but continues the theme of dissing him, which is added points...next punch is decent, you've done a good piece of research on him there but you didn't convey the concept as well in your punch...I always think if you feel like you've got to explain the underlying concept in your expo (which you did) then you've got more work to do in the actual punch...added on, rhyming "fucking" and "fucking" is weak (minus bonus point)...lol @ slick talk, nice...punch here is a bit ehhh, works on one level but you're crying out to be flipped there (guess you're lucky the rules are no flips)...big in LA was a good follow on, but you probably should've left it on a literal level as the wordplay relies on the expo (again) & doesn't stand up too well on its own...I don't really get the Sass punch, so I'll just rate it as a jab & move on...liked the DMX references, but don't understand how that connects to anything else...PHAT is played & a missed punch...next one is nice, liked the 'Kos' wordplay...hahaha @ customer service issue, much better...great connection with the filler line as well, more what I was expecting from you...lunch cards is borderline, I liked the 'eat his words' idea but it doesn't really translate into the eventual hit, think you could've made more of it...was decent but had potential to be a greater hit there...ripped to shreds is a good personal, simple rhyme but a good shot...closer was decent, good diss but don't really think the google thing ties...can you google a word you don't already know? I get that you mean synonyms but it's not really a Google thing...that could have been a knock out blow, but as it is it's 'just' a heavy hit because he does go on a 'big words' tyrade from time to time...

Overall, I genuinely thought you would have put this way beyond X...you clearly have the ability to rhyme & throw hits but I dunno if it's because X has pissed you off a bit that you're maybe trying a bit too hard...or maybe that you don't think he's worth it. Couple of times you've tried to tie two into one, or got too involved in the wordplay concept, or had a good idea but are relying on the expo to convey the hit fully...which doesn't really play in my book. You still had some good material in there and some nice punches, but this was a much more inconsistent verse than I was expecting...when you had up some of the weaker punches & a couple of misses, the verse isn't all that long & there aren't that many heavy hits in there...it's probably enough to beat XTC, but not convincingly...we shall see....

X - Fuck Manc is an ok idea, doesn't really add much if I'm honest but guess it shows a degree of tenacity, gets barely half a bonus point...anyways, I liked the opening lines in terms of fluidity, but it reads more like an unlimited bars type intro, where you can kind of expend a few lines on this kind of braggadocio/bravado type approach, but you've got a short verse here...dunno if you can afford to drop that many lines on jabs at the start, yeah, there as disses in there which means it isn't completley irrelevant, but ideally you need to throw a couple of heavy hits in there as well to make it valuable, and there wasn't anything like that in there...it was coolio, but you're going to need a lot of heat in the rest of your relatively short verse to come back at him...let's see.

Ha, liked the royalty/4 more than me punch...strangely even though you're playing yourself down in a way, you're dissing him for his attitude & approach towards you...which I actually really liked as a play, good shit...wow, I actually really liked that next punch as well, good personal and a solid punch! Next punch is solid, that filler line was fierce & although it's a bit of a "standard punch" to say people get cheap wins it's still always going to be effective, continuing on a good stretch of form...lol @ the next punch, I liked the sarcasm of the 'justice' idea...dunno, think your rhyme could have and probably should have been stronger here, but it was still a solid hit...college credits, for me, is ok...it's a pretty simple idea but you made it into what I'd call a 'jab+', slightly better than a jab but you already used the schooling idea in your opener too...what I would say is that it's better than Manc's 'Phat' punch & I did like the diss in the filler...ouch @ bums you've slayed, I like how you've opened this section questioning his rep in terms of wins & then throwing a series of 'easy wins' at him to undermine him...it's actually a really strong battle strategy and in terms of dissing you've been really consistent...but the 'beat you 'till you bleed' (athough it was coolio), it was again a 'jab++' type punch...the extra plus is because you tied it into your very strong filler, but realistically that's a more 'unlimited lines' type line & you're straying into the terriority where you can't really afford many more 'not strong' punches at him if you want to have a chance in the battle...haha, great punch in the next line...continuation of the strategy, and a great example of a oneupmanship approach...ahhhh, the closer was a shame, because I loved the diss in the opening line & the punch is pretty dope...but...it...doesn't...rhyme. I'm looking for some kind of internal scheme there & I can't see anything. As it's turned out, it's a close battle and I think something as sloppy as that could cost you...

Overall, you brought a cultured approach to your verse & it was pretty fresh to see...reading the opening few bars (the fuck manc part) and it was coolio, smooth, but not much bite in there...but the second section flipped and you were really direct & aggressive, you were up against a good but not great verse from Manc and I think you've held your own here. Your closer rounded that whole approach off really well, and you've gone right at his credibility, but it doesn't rhyme for me...which loses you a few points.

Soooo...it's not as one-sided as I would expect. Manc brought a more 'tried and tested' approach with some highs and some lows...in terms of dissing & attacking the credibility of your opponent X has clearly done a much better job than Manc. In terms of personals, its relatively equal in terms of ammunition, Manc's probably got the best personal of the battle with the customer service issues line...both had some personal material they could've done better with (Manc a lot more so than X), so that probably levels that out & I think X gets bonus points for his aggression....Manc did have more variety in his attack, bringing some good metaphor/wordplay type stuff (would've liked to see a lot more of that "poison" type stuff in the verse, and a lot less of "phat" type material, though)...hmmm, it's tough because in my mind I think X has probably edged this battle, but I dunno if that's because X has the better verse on this occasion or whether I was just expecting Manc to win it & it's just that X has exceeded my expectations & Manc hasn't lived up to those...

Re-read it & I'm still undecided...Manc's got a good verse but it lacks the tenacity X has in his 'second chunk'...another element I've not really mentioned in X's simplicity in rhymes in his second segment, but it doesn't really take anything away from it because it's actually pretty fluid and you don't really notice it. Guess it comes down to whether I think Manc's complexity merits him the win, or whether X's tenacity merits him the win...

Think I'm going to go with X...looking back over Manc's verse you can see there's some good content in there, but he's not translated it as well into strong, consistent and cohesive hits like X did...felt like X did a better job of 'getting at' Manc, and he gets my vote because of that...
