I have a few ideas:
1. barak obama is president and has to give a presiditial speech, but wants to do it different than the norm. with a hip hop culture vibe, so he hires 'you' to write his speach in rap form.
[you could specify which speech and change it with each level of the tourny, or let the contestants decide.]
2.
you are invited to write and rap a verse on a collab anti war rap that mtv is sponsering, its going to be this generations 'we are the world' anthem.
3.
it never made the cut but dr dres people called and hired you to ghostwrite a verse for his album the 'chronic', now your showing the world your verse and which song it was for.
[this last one could work more general aswell like each contestant could pick which artist, which album, and which song. or you could change it each stage of the tourny]
