   Week 1 Review :

Only the 1 no-show this week. I'm slightly annoyed too, because Tesla announced to me on MSN that he would be showing this evening. I'm actually quite shocked it was only the 1, because going into the start of today, we still had a number of battles awaiting verses.

Voting has been spectacular. Thanks very much. I didn't, under any stretch of the imagination, expect the voting to be concluded on the same saturday as the verses are due in, but if we can keep this up, it will keep the Battle League moving in the right direction.

Legendary :

Junior took home the easy point v Tesla (Junior getting an easy win, no shock there then) - albeit he showed, with a decent verse. DTK got the KO v Lucky D, in a battle that I anticipated could have gone either way. DTK's experience showed though, and the KO was in the offing, bagging him the Bonus Point. sparta took the expected KO v Kiki Spirez, who, by any standards, did not do himself any harm, with a solid verse against one of the sites best battlers.

Pro :

3 battles that followed the odds here. Ram showed himself no disgrace in arguably his best ever battle verse on LA, but KayB still had enough to take a KO. iCeZ experience showed through v a lackluster aminal, and rapdisup was unlucky not to take advantage of a weak Joey Nice verse. This is a close group of Emcees here, with the odd exception, and any 2 Emcees have a genuine chance of getting the promotion, come Week 5.

Semi-Pro :

Littered with emcees suited more to the top two division, Semi-Pro could be the most exciting league of the season. Calibra took a hard win v R.L.H, and wasn't afforded the KO after a top verse from R.L.H, and I.S.G showed his continued and stable elevation, with a great win over the also much improved Matt the Ripper. Both Emcees, if they put their mind to it, could take a shock promotion here over one of the more experienced heads, which means Senor Perfecto's KO v ProFound could be vital come the end of the season.

In conclusion, there were no upsets in Week 1. It was a great week, and I'd like to thank everyone (who did) for getting the verses in, and thanks a lot to those who've voted as well.
