   Because there's no place like home...

Went back to NY just recently...returning with this ish.
Enjoy.

Got the jungle in my scope, perched amongst the humblest of folks,
As my lungs fillin with my smoke, I start to grumble then I choke.
Fuck sittin' at home, from the dust and shit, I lace up my kicks,
Duck from the crib and bolt. Fuck, I'm gettin old.
I knock the dust up off my coat, and my shoes.
I'm focused to moved, we used to chill and smoke on this stoope.
The dopest of crews...but now it's just the dope and the fools.
Their hoping is through. And as I would drop my flows in the booth,
My old little room, was filled with folks, coke and the dope that they'd shoot.
Provoking the youth, to bring back the vibes and the soul. Writing my poems,
about the nights that we'd roll, around the spot and pick fights with our foes.
Igniting my rolled blunt, smoked up, whoa...what? Hold up...my building is gone,
The chillest of spots, was torn down because of all the pills and the rocks...
Still it was hot, where the pill or the rock, would mean a ball, not the shit you'd sell on the block.
Well, if it's not...here...at least I have the memories, the home-made remedies and
ethnic breeze of gettin beef for selling trees. Ahh...that was the best of things.
And now my deafened street is dead to me...so fuck it, I'll just let it be.
Like Paul, John and Ringo. George..on the Stereo. What do we know?
To act like Negros and keep hope alive and pray the seed grows.
Ya see folks, usually this scrutany wouldn't be news to me. But my dudes, ya see.
The boogie down bronx just aint what it used to be...
