Actually, LL(of old) was dope, prolly one of the best easily, but he sold out kinda sorta...Rakim is easily among the best, considering he was dope years ago and is still dope...Course pacs always in the consideration, will smith tho, he was hot, cause he did his own thing but hes a actor now, havent made an album in year, least i havent heard of one...so his time in the game doesn't really count...tho he still was dope...

to me what seperates rap from any other music style is rhyming....... if u not rhyming then its not rap,,, that more like poetry...... and the reason why i say ludacris is the best is because of his rhymes.....
there only a few artits out there that can make a chours that rhymies
........ in luda punches he makes it a mistery to what he's going to say next..... (ex.. have u ever listen to a song and then were able to tell what the rapper was going to say next.....)

yo...people....can't hate on the man that won the first ever rap grammy....the Fresh Prince did what he did....his last album "Lost and Found" got an XL in XXL which is VERY respectable...i think it got like 4 mic's in the source...i thought it had a couple nice tracks...and was better than 99% of the shit that's come out so far this year...
and if there is anyone on this site who can't recite by heart the theme to "the Fresh Prince of Bel Air" they need to get the fuck off....lmao...that ish was fiyah!
