this was a pretty close battle... almost to close to call
Kay... Your verse was good... Had alot of creative plays and whatnot, but sum weren't necessarily delivered as well as they should be... Also felt like you started off kinda slow and picked up drastically toward the end... Good verse tho Game... Your verse was good as well... Was kinda disappointed tho... Your verse was kinda back and forth imo... You'd have a nice bar right after a terribly shit one, so I really had a hard time catching a flow and vibing... Overall, my vote goes too..... Kay (shockin aint it...) - I'm sure many may oppose my vote and whatnot but I just felt he was a bit more consistent, not to mention how game kinda disappointed me... Both verses was good, but game being a pro should have dropped a great verse, which is why Kay GMV... Props to both tho |

Kay - Took the creative approach by going out of his element..you had a lot of dope plays dude..Opener nice personal/punch was pretty solid..2nd bar was a dope play..really feeling this..3rd bar another dope play..very original bar..4th bar imo was a bit of a miss..lacking venom..5th was dope..nice personal shot in there too..6th loved this play..never seen it done before so props on that..7th was alright..nothing to amazing..Closer was a solid personal
Kon - Not to you're standards imo..Opener was pretty dope..nice little play/personal..2nd bar just screamed out played..im pretty sure everyone has done a hairline bar on Kay before..3rd an attempt at a personal but two back to back hair plays is kinda lame..shows a lack of creativity imo..4th was filler really..5th was alright..decent hit..6th was pretty good imo..nice hit..7th made me laugh..haha nice..closer was a cool personal..nice bar Imo Ikon was far to inconsistent with his verse..He had some weaker lines and some stronger lines..Kay showed a nice switch up with his verse incorperating strong wordplay and hard punches thats why Kay Gmv also

I planned on retiring text after this tourney, so unless votes come my way, it's been a good run... Not just this battle, but too much politix is involved with something that just isn't in relation to what I'm now focused on... Not that I agree with the votes and somethings are gettin overlooked, which I won't amp up, 'cus I'm not as hungry for the win as I was a year and further back... Opener: Nicely worded, nicely excucuted play. Bar 2: Not worded as nice, but still nicely executed nicely. Bar 3: Nice. Bar 4: Nicely played. Bar 5: lol. Nice again. Comin' consisten in this battle. Bar 6: I agree with whoever said that shit about this A-kon (Akon) play.. Bar 7: Good. Closer: Not as hard hitting. Came nice for the first 5 bars and then the A-kon play staggered ya, you came back with one good play, then the closer was so-so. Opener: I wasn't feeling this opener. Bar 2: Typical balding play everyone on L.A. pretty much knows is played by now, unless you're a FNG... minus points for unoriginality, especially for a vet. Bar 3: This was semi-funny, but then again,.. not really. Punch not very impactful. Bar 4: Meh. It was a nice attempt? Bar 5: See, "Bar 4." Bar 6: This was clever, just not very hard-hitting. Bar 7: Eh.. I don't like how you removed, "the" inbetween "to" and "south" to accomodate for it to flow into "cock inyour mouth." Again, I would say it's more clever than it is hard-hitting, which unfortunately ain't gonna do you much in this battle... unless you come with a reeeeallly good closer that blows this away! Closer: I liked it, but unfortunately it wasn't good enough to get my vote, Fam. Stand-out Bar(s) [Which I just realized, it's, the, "S.O.B.'s!": You outta this round… That is “What the topic’s about” (haha) Soooooo wack, WITHOUT A VERSE, I'm one from knocking you out! M.V.G.T.: Kay B, who undoubtedly brought a good solid verse, proving he wants to move on and win this battle. He had the more direct n' harder-hitting punches... Kay B took this with his first 5 bars... then you both made clever, but not very hard-hitting 6th bars... but Kay B came back with a fairly nice punch, whereas I just wasn't feelin' I-Kon's'. I would say if I-Kon came with a nice evenly solid 5 first 5 bars, he could've taken this.. with the better closer, IMO. Regardless, the vote is in! PEACE! |
