No self-hype in his verse, just straight attackin' n' to the point.... whereas it doesn't look like anything's hittin' Calibra too hard in Grips' verse. A more direct verse with less self-hype-ish stuff like his closer would've helped. That closer quite simply wasn't hitting anyone. Pretty one-sided battle from the looks of it. Cal had more swagger in his verse overall (and i mean it how it should be, not how Soulja fuck and all the kids in hip hop are using it).
Your hits were made with a cocky kind of style, and they were all generally funny, especially the first bar. And also your wording in your second and last bar was just plain sick. ISG, you sounded like you were struggling a bit to think up anything on Cal. The first bar was a bad filler, and then the rest was decent but nothing really stuck out. Only the accent thing got a laugh from me, but it wasn't a "Owwwwwwww!  " moment. Cal's got this. |

ISG - First bar was funny, but at the end of the day, the concept is played so it didnt hit. Superhero wasn't that good, Accent thing was a nice hit and the closer was worded differently from how I have previously seen it, but again its been used before
Cali - Opener was ite, not much of a hit for me. Same with next bar. the groom bar was fuckin dope tho. Nice closer too. Not the best battle I've seen but I think Calibra edged it with his last 2 bars |
