See this is why I am always so grumpy. I have to deal with these idiots.

Battle leagues have been suggested like once a month for the past few months by the influx of new members. After a while you simply cant be bothered giving a full explanation why because you just keep repeating your self.

Maybe this was an extremely poor attempt at reverse psycology? Maybe your just a clueless idiot? Who knows!


But here we go, for the slow kids at the back.....

You may be shocked to hear that we had a battle league before, you may also be shocked to discover that, in fact, it was not my idea. It turned out it just simply didn't work.

Now I never really liked the idea to begin with, but since it seemed such a popular idea, I allowed an unofficial trial. As I said, it didn't work out and I doubt it ever will. It simply requires to much effort to be worth while. And I'm not talking about the person whos running it, which would be very time consuming, but from the participants. Like most things, people have a huge buzz at the start then interest slowing fades away until you have a dead league. Just like mentioned previously about how mods work. Just like how Clash 4 Cash's votes have slowed down.

I have been running the site for 10 years, you get a feeling what will and what wont work. You begin to understand patterns and such. This allows you to know that something like this wont work, that someone isn't fit to be a mod and so on.

Instead of battle leagues, we have tournaments and events such as Manc's Luck of the Draw. And at the end of the day, not everyone can be part of these things, people are needed to be non-participating voters.



But as you say, I reject idea's that are not my own. Like trizzy's events idea which spawned Bloodlines, LA X and Luck of the Draw. Like Neps Unofficial Battle League. Like the concept of crews. Like the concept of LA being a battle site to begin with. Non of these were my idea so I guess they never happened right?

You see, the vast majority of features, events and such weren't my idea. They were other members ideas which turned out to work, they have evolved and been built on over the years. And there are also plenty of ideas that we tried but failed and they are no longer part of LA.

I guess since the way your going about it .. But to have an invite only battle league and try outs or preliminaries to get in it would be dope for the vets and good text heads ..
