I don't battle, Im trying to learn so I have an extra outlet to go to when im bored. I was wondering how you peepz write your punchlines. Do you write them first or do you write the setup first? Whats your opinion?

Both.Sometimes,I write a couple lines to setup for the punch.Other times,I write one within the first bar.For me,it doesn't matter as long as it's worded correctly.A decent punchline can sound great if it's worded correctly.

You can find a great tutorial in the EC, by Point B

But yeah it's best to get a concept first an punchline next then the set up
Bars for battles work better if there's some connection between lines 1/2 as opposed to random, but random can work
