and so on and so fourth. It helps you get back into the rhyme of things(pun intended).

 

If it's a case of writers block. Sometime's the best thing to do is stop writing. Get away from it and experience other facets of life. Stop listening to music. At some point you'll be remotivated or you won't. Writers block can be temporary but many writers(not just in music) have experienced life long cases of it. I'm not sure that is the norm but still, it does happen. I've had it. I've taken year long period of hiatus and then gotten back into. I've experienced bouts of complete creative loss and next to zero motivation to write before and I'm lucky to have gotten out of it. I've also tryied to force my way back to the level of writing I'd consider acceptable by my own standards and it's worked ONCE. All the other times I've had to step away for awhile.

I think it's important to note these are things you can try but everyone is different and the method to success can be vastly different depending on who you talk too. Creative processes are different from person to person. Just consider what I said but it's not law man.
