Well... your first two punchlines had me thinking "PRO" no doubt...then you kept doing the same thing, bar after bar after bar... a setup pretty much irrelevant, rhyme, then the wordplay punch... some of which, tho smart (sandles) was essentially gun/gangsta type ish... I mean it's ok, but hey... I personally set the standards v high for PRO, so yeah... the burned line is played... Not enough transitional rhyming or transition/cohesion period... It's like stop-start after every punch... Also sometimes ya setup rhymes are too long... if you try and make ya shit too many syllables it just comes off as forced straight up... and even when you read the punchline it's like, you're concentratin' more on tryna accentuate it the same way u did the setup than actually just let it flow and hit naturally... try more multis, and less syllables... Yeah... you've pretty much got the "text style" on lock down, and I can see why you wipe the floor with sites all over... but PROs here gotta have it all and that lil bit extra... mix shit up a bit... and a few more personals while we're at it... so tho to me you could beat a few of the people currently ranked PRO - I didn't rank them as such...plus it's not to say u don't have the capability there, it just wasn't shown in this drop, and that's all I have to see, so I ain't givin' u the rank... Hmm.. like i said, thats the only verse i have left in wordpad.. that battle was agianst an emcee with straight gangster type rhymes and mettas with alot of wordplay .. so it was personal right through. you cant really judge if its personal or not, without knowing who iwas battlin or what circumstances. but cool, if you dont think i have what it takes |

Well... it's not much use tellin' me that afterwards...besides... mimickin' someone's style isn't that good a personal anyway... if that's what you're implyin' u did by goin' with the concepts you did... Only verse in Wordpad... if you're a net legend you must have verses all over the net, pick one, add explanations for shit outsiders wouldn't understand and ur home and dry... simple and plain... I didn't say you didn't have what it takes, in fact I said practically the opposite... read carefully |

'Fishing for credit cards' the only time you Catch-my-Interest ! Sick line....I thought the way you worded some of your wordplays was sick, really PRO standard, but equally you also had some poorly worded plays and some unoriginal ones that you didnt make stand out at all ... I disagree with the 'textstyle' comment to an extent, i see where Winston is comin from but to me it was alrite, sometimes it seemed like 2line chunks but it wasnt that bad...but I do agree with the rankin, you showed PRO potential but you kinda fucked it up with some of your weaker lines and your lack of transitionals that meant ya flow was largely smooth but that was about it, wasnt anythin that continued the weight from bar to bar, there was just like a punch, bring ya fist back, punch, repeatin that formula, I liked some of ya wordplay concepts, smooth use of rhyme and no really rhythmic problems but equally you were kinda generic in style even if you used it pretty well...the thing I like about this board is that all the PROs have original style, i definately think you have potential and just really need to develop your own style rather than stickin with the same old shit that every other site uses, that is kinda core to me coz its about originality and creativity, and sure some of ya wordplays were dope and were creative but were within a framework that needs work....wud u rather buy an excellent art-students picture or an average Picasso, uno AMA, peace |

yeah i respect that 100 % every site has differnt styles, and likes/dislikes. so i adapt. but the one thing that confuses me..

Well if it makes u feel any better, I'm cool with that guy but I don't think it was PRO, but I didn't rank it, the other two both said PRO and that was it, two-vote majority Further to that tho, this guy has been on LA as long as I have... and ILLA's been here longer, and IceC almost as long, so basically, they know his style inside out etc... they can judge him off everything he's done... now, I assure you everything he's done is multi-less, that's just his thing, but that aside he knows what he's doing... I don't think that drop was his best by any means but when spitting for rank, though the verse is crucial, your overall performance is obviously noted as well... To me, I would have still given him AMA, on the basis that to be a PRO, IMO, u gotta have it all plus the lil bit extra... this guy has that lil bit extra, but he doesn't have it all in the first place, his rhymin' is flawed and he knows it but he's content with it and he ain't gonna change his style for anybody... so tho I respect that, it wouldn't make ME rank him PRO... obviously the other two didn't feel that way, so they did, I can't speak for them, only me peace |

 to me, that was an exceptional circumstance, dude has been here a long time and if anyone deserves PRO i think it is him, plus a couple of debatable ones have just went thru, for instance I dont think Tequila shud be a PRO either, and BSD is also borderline...I think you are borderline but after Teq/BSD/Frank went thru me and Orion had a talk about how the ranks shud work and I'm gona start bein a bit tougher on lettin AMAs gettin put up now, sucks for you but I dont think there is really a problem for you to get up to PRO, I've seen you on LG (Nep linked me) and you drop some nice stuff, like I said you had some PRO lines in there, like really solid pro lines nah even "just pro" lines...but ya were inconsistant and were probably like "well these lines have won it now I'll half-ass it", thats cool but you aint gona get PRO from me with that kind of verse, ino if you compare back it looks wack on you but the rank thing isn't a comparison-type thing, if we decide to start being tougher than people arent gona get re-ranked, uno, but you do have a point but I thought I'd explain the reason why I personally ranked you AMA and BSD/Frank PRO, I understand wah u sayin its just that I'm gona be stricter and only give people with an original style and some dope shit PRO from now on |
