Yo so everyone in here has very different styles. I wanna know what artist influenced everyone the most.
For me it depends on what im listening to at the time but my biggest influences are Kid Cudi, Eminem and K-rino. There are many more that i studdied and learned certain things that i do from but those are the biggest! Edit- somehow i forgot 2 others, R.A. The Rugged Man and Vinnie Paz. Eminem is who made me consider rapping as a viable career path, when I was like 9 and I watched 8 mile lol, but I would say the music I make these days takes influence from Kanye West, Outkast and Atmosphere

I'm still developing my style. My style is very dependent to who I'm listening to, which can be dependent to how I'm feeling lately.
The song that got me into rap was Gangsters Paradise by Coolio. I grew up listening to illmatic (nas), real talk (fabolous), and all biggie and PAC. Keeping it real, lil Wayne can be hated on by everyone, but he is also an influence for me. He might have a lot of trash music, but he also has the most great lines. I don't mean to say he has the greatest but the highest quantity of great lines... He also has like over 1k tracks so that's a massive part of it. As I grew I became a big jay z, Eminem, immortal technique fan. In recent years all those people have dropped off for me. Now j Cole my number one and Kendrick number two. Tech n ritz cool on flow, not huge fan but respect n listen to em. That's off the top of head |

Honestly this year wasn't really that great of a year for hip hop lmao. Like off the top of my head I can only think of a few albums that really caught my attention. Those three are
Snoop Dogg - Coolaid Rittz - Top of the Line and Kevin Gates - Islah Edit - K-rinos 7 albums as well lmao, haven't even had a chance to peep them all all the way through but I've heard a few all the way through and heard a few tracks from the others and as always they're mind blowing. Vinnie Paz dropped a fire album recently too. |
