would say Nineties rap scene influenced me the most. Eminem when it comes to rhyming
was like nothing I ever heard before. But Too $hort was the first rap artist I
ever fallowed. Old Skool Bass music tapes influenced me as well. I love all kinds of music, and I’ll be more than happy to share some jams and experience from music. One of my top songs I like is not rap at all (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MbhAf62wfgE) and in fact today I rarely listen to rap. Most is imitation. I would say some producers like Mike Dean are still making hit records but the artists that rap on them are crap. Kendrick Lamar is Dope, J. Cole is Dope, Rea Sremmurd is fire also. |

Dope, eminem is one of the main reasons I started rapping.
And I don't know why Lord Puente but I've always liked It Was Written more than Illmatic, I might be crazy for that. After I asked what everyones favorite album was I went back and listened to the albums I used to love back when i was like 13 and I gotta say my two favorite albums have to be k-rino - The Maven and R.A. The Rugged Man - Legends Never Die Also one that will always be in my top 3 list is MMLP. |

You guys want to put togeather a challenge song? Something with a catchy dance line and hook?
I Just want to put it out there becuase theres this sone JuJu on the beat which sampled Nuck If You Buck by Lil Jay a platinum record and people cant stop makeing challenge videos but the actual quility of the song is so poor. And whip and nea nea had great success. I am just thinking out loud.

Yeah bro im really from polk county haha. i got 3 mixtapes out. Dropping my fourth one on January first.
The first one i dropped is garbage 😂 But the other two are pretty decent. This next one is crazy though haha. After that the plan is to work on an album. |

It depends where though. Yeah the old people are racist but im 17 so i didnt really see it much cuz i was cool w tons of people and not many were racist. I used to fw the druggies and shit back then tho so idek 😂. I mean theres always some racist people, kids and adults, but they're fucking idiots lmao.
I grew up mostly in lakeland but i moved to winter haven when i was like 12 or something. Ended up getting into a bunch of shit (peep my song "Haven" its on my youtube channel") but i moved to springhill last year. This place im in now is pure fuckery, way worse than polk lol. |

Any one done an acuostic treatment?
Im looking at getting 56, 12x12x2" pyrimid tiles for my closet to do a mic booth. It looks like its going cost 100 bing-o's :( I want to just jack a 100 cardboard cup holders from 7-11 WHat do you guys think? I really want to do this before I record my next drop, which is layed all the way out already.

I have a home studio built and I have never used a mic booth setup in my closet, seems like wasted money... I just have a big desk which is where I sit my mic (Samson c01u, with a stand and pop filter of course), sampler, and soon to be keyboard to do EVERYTHING I need to do in regards to music. Sampler, keyboard (both for beats) mic, computer seems like a decent set up to me lmao. I have never depended on a real "set up". I just rely on the audio captured and the mixing.

I know what your saying.. IM just in a big room right now. I have my studio in my liveing room becuase upstairs was too hot this summer and everyone cried like bitches. Im moveing the studio to the downstairs bed room with the closet and the bedrooms going upstairs...
So the current concensus is no foam. ill just free ball it, i guess. BUt when I finaly move to the small bed room with carpet I tink my problems will go away, but a booth would be nice experiance. Except its hard to engineer from the booth when your a one man crew. So would have to let my mic stay hot as I just loop the track. extra time. I typicaly do my verse in one shot and don't ever punch in lines. So this should still work. ANyone punch in lines or a four bar to a verse? |

I punch in lines, I just did 10 punches for a single verse. I do mostly 4 4 bar punches, then add like an adlib'd or two, then duplicate a section and maybe punch in a couple words in a certain part that sounded hot in a diff recording. I also don't know how to mix so I'll record each part like 20 times before I'm content with it
