…Topical Battle Verse The Stasis Manifesto
![]() I came into existence at the moment of creation. When “God” was just an infant, I was already ancient. I wrote the “Book of Life” and penned your name on its pages, then waited for the day I’d erase and replace it. Sometimes it took forever, but time was never wasted, for patience is a virtue, and I’m forever ageless. Around every corner, ahead of every step, a calculated killer; I’m the best at playing chess. I’ve never been defeated, though some try to cheat me, but never have they won; adultery’s beneath me. You’re married to your fate, and Destiny’s my daughter; conceptually I’m akin to an omnipresent father. An ever-watchful eye, the hawk in the sky, the spider on the web; you’re caught in the twine. Your life is just a thread in my lofty design. I’m what lost creatures find at the end of every road, the truth in the lie that refuses to erode. I’m like music to the soul when I lull you to sleep. “For Whom the Bell Tolls” is the song that I sing, and a poem you may read as I reap your final breath. I’m the devil in a dress, the angel in a shroud, the great equalizer who seldom is announced, though I’m crouched in the shadows of every execution, and carry out my duty without arrogance or hubris. The elegance of death. The beauty in decay. Your funeral’s a tribute for which you shall repay the favor that I gave when I freed you from the chains of misery and pain. “To live is to suffer.” “To die is to gain.” Delivered you from grief — was never given thanks. Put an end to disease — when medication waned. Claimed the presidents and chiefs, the slaves and the saints, for rank is unimportant to the vacancy of graves. It’s all make-believe that’s created out of fear, the agency of ego that binds you to this sphere. The cycle of rebirth: death after death. Reincarnation: test after test. It’s all so exhausting; you should come and take a rest. Please step into the void to finally coalesce with the concept of peace; a primeval thesis, where everything is whole, the antimatter sequence, encoded in the soul, the black hole’s secret. ∼Eternal ebb and flow∼ The egg or the chicken? Here’s what you need to know: Neither came first; they both existed after me, as I created them together to complete this masterpiece. The Alpha and Omega. The seed and the tree. The symphony of life — it all leads to me. The final destination, where all things meet. Welcome to the End, where all things cease. |

im bout to do something I aint done since the dawn of time.. but lets do a text feedback.
I came into existence at the moment of creation. I like this - and depending on your theological beliefs, this rings true across the planet. are we space dust? are we the result of the astroid belt falling onto earth? if so, the collective "we" is older than present day idealogy of "God." Now - I know this isn't about that, but its an epic way to dance with the devil and couple back to a classic double entendre with subtle nuances that ponders life while explaining death. love how you opened this. I’ve never been defeated, though some try to cheat me, but never have they won; adultery’s beneath me. You’re married to your fate, and Destiny’s my daughter; conceptually I’m akin to an omnipresent father. mother nature, father time and uncle ruckus, cant escape the family tree. love the cheat/adultry that was played well. the God theme carries here as well, im interested in the direction (I didnt pre-read this) because the picture says grim reaper, life needs death to be life or what is it? again, a hefty theological debate, but this isnt about that, but the theme is certainly present An ever-watchful eye, the hawk in the sky, the spider on the web; you’re caught in the twine. I dont know if you are aware of the Torah section that have been axed but the "Song of Songs" is love poetry - some tribute the woman saying "I am black, and I am beautiful" to Moses' ethopian wife, theres not strong historical backing for this, but again...the... drum roll tones are there in here, wether intentional or not. an Song of Songs being poetry, lie that refuses to errode, the imperial mindset that has been focal in erasure of culture, but again.. theres heavy underlining theology in this that I find fascinating. “To live is to suffer.” “To die is to gain.” ahhh. concur, concur, concur. what is life without death. any journey worth taking has an end. I like the duality narrative, I cannot be good nor evil, for I just am, and what I am is what im meant to be. ill spare another theological rant, but I will say this section is extremely well worded. this is where the mystery becomes poetic, its almost as if the sands of time are running out on the guess who and the pace hastens. well done here bro, sharp sharp cadence. Delivered you from grief — was never given thanks. Put an end to disease — when medication waned. Claimed the presidents and chiefs, the slaves and the saints, for rank is unimportant to the vacancy of graves. It’s all make-believe that’s created out of fear, the agency of ego that binds you to this sphere. yes, fear mongering is natures favorite past time. when stuff really did used to go "bump" in the night, it was best not to ignore it. humans have channeled that through mass manipulation, and add in some FOMO and people want to live forever. mortality looks less like a chapter in a never ending book and more like the final words of a eulogy. I like how layered this is. covers so many facets and easily digestable, but hearty when you get to the core. the art here is fantastic. The cycle of rebirth: death after death. Reincarnation: test after test. It’s all so exhausting; you should come and take a rest. ah, so you want to slam the book shut, what a turn of events Please step into the void to finally coalesce with the concept of peace; a primeval thesis, where everything is whole, the antimatter sequence, encoded in the soul, the black hole’s secret. Welcome to the End, where all things cease. and just like that, the curtain call. I like the metaphor that everyone has life backwards. it was a very intriguing piece, alot of open ended questions and many routes for interruptation. youve always had a great knack for misdirection. I forget the title of that cyborg piece you dropped many moons ago, but it has also grand in its plot twist. theyre never expected, never rushed - infact I usually get the idea from your pieces when you go back, you remove more material than you add. I get that vibe because the segways seem natural and less forced to fit or dressed up. its tapered lol. anyway, another classic. dope stuff hermano. im guessing this is from circa 1872 but its a gem none the less. |

Thanks, Neek. And seriously, appreciate the feedback, fr. It’s rare these days to get anything more than a view with no comment, so getting something that actually engaged the piece meant a lot.
To keep it a buck, I was kinda all over the place with this one, not because I didn’t have a central idea, but because I let it flow in that stream-of-consciousness way. The first stanza was me channeling Death from Supernatural. I’m not even a huge fan of the show overall, but that one scene stuck with me, the one where Death strolls into the restaurant, all calm and casual, and tells Dean, “I’m old, Dean… very old. I am older than God.” He follows it with that line about how even God will “die” one day, delivered in that quiet, matter-of-fact tone that implies the idea of function over hierarchy. That concept, that Death isn’t just a servant but a force with its own authorship, sparked the whole piece. I wanted to imagine Death as something closer to a co-creator rather than a janitor sweeping up after the universe. After that, I drifted into mythology, Greek stuff, Sandman vibes, the whole abstract-concepts-as-family dynamic. You know, how Nyx, Night, and Erebus, Darkness, parented Hypnos, Sleep, and Thanatos, Death, or how in The Sandman the Endless siblings include Dream, Death, Destiny, and so on. That is why, in my version, Death becomes this omnipresent father figure to Fate and Destiny. Together they act like an ecosystem of inevitability. Midway through, it turned into a mix of cultural symbols and religious undertones, spiders, tolling bells, angels of mercy, devils of vengeance. All the different masks humanity has given Death across history. And that helped push me toward the idea that Death isn’t just misery or terror. It can also be calm, release, balance, or even beauty. Everything ends, which is part of what gives things meaning in the first place. As the concept kept evolving, Death started to feel more cosmic to me, something closer to the singularity or the void, the place everything returns to. Not chaos, but unity. The thing that has been here since the beginning whether we acknowledge it or not. Do I literally believe all of this? Not necessarily. I still think the true and living God sits above all of this speculation. But Death, as an idea or presence or myth, is always fun to explore. It is one of those subjects that lets you pull from everywhere, scripture, myth, pop culture, philosophy, even personal fear and comfort. Anyway, I didn’t mean to write a whole essay back at you. Your breakdown was more than enough, but since we are like two of the six people who actually still post here, I figured why not. Appreciate you again, and I am definitely looking forward to seeing something new from you soon. |

nah its *always* good to hear from the author, if it wasn't - book signings would never exist. I do think this piece can be taken many ways, which makes it very interesting. I have never seen supernatural, im not actually big into tv shows, I usually get bored and check out. I font read fantasy either, I usually do biographies or history which are essentially the same. art imitates life or life imitates art, both are subjective so to have an outside source to draw from is perfect
loved hearing your mindset tho. also - I fucked up. "Song of Songs" is about King Solomon not Moses - but this is what I get using recall and not google :P. all the best bro. |

Yeah man, check out those two snippets I sent you. They were basically the starting point for this piece—giving Death a personality and a backstory. But like you mentioned, a lot of the writing is meant to stay open to interpretation. I actually hate spelling things out too clearly; I’d rather leave room for mystery and conversation. On another note, I’m definitely gonna check out that song. King Solomon has always been a fascinating figure to me, so good looking out. |

dope. I love these anthropomorphic concepts pieces like this. reminds me of Vertigo Imprint The Endless. Death in that variation was a woman but she was the most badass of The Endless. But word, flow is super crazy. everything flowed right off the tongue. I love it bro. it was a nice surprise upon my random visits.

Enjoyed the read, very interesting thematically and top execution.
It reminds me of K-Rino who also like to delve on these types of subjects.
