It's a hard life, hard days and hard nights
Enemies shake hands then next minute start fights
Sold a dream, this wasn't promised to me
Streets turned me to a man I never wanted to be
Cause where im from, it's like im stuck here
No luck, fucked, and drunk drinking Duff beer
Felt enough fear to last me a life time
No light shines on the victims of knife crime
Home, should really look better in my eyes
But this place owns my soul like the devil in disguise
Destined for demise when I rarely see the sun
Shot down in my prime and I've barely seen a gun
How dare we seek some fun? No happieness achieved
Paying out more money than we actually recieve
But round here, we earn then we drink
Earn then we drink, it's obserd when ya think
Hoping all the money wasted would emerge from the sink
Or the drain, try to change but then return to the drink
Soon a pattern occurs and every day is the same
We can't skip, just repeat, so we play it again
Enough to make ya insane, yet I stay, I remain
Cause a hard knock life circulates in my veins!
