Scorpia... Snoop Dogg's been rappin' since he was 16. Snoop's real. Gangsta Rap was original when him, Cube, Dre, an' whatnot were doin' it. When Deathrow was fresh, we're talkin' early 90s, gangsta rap was how it was goin' down. People like 50 Cent are all on Pac's dick not BIG's, so I got no idea what you're talkin' about. Quote 50: "They like me, I wan' 'em to love me like they loved Pac" Biggie's influence was more on people like Jigga, in other words: people who may or may not make pop hits but people that bring it lyrical, switch styles, are eclectic. Quote Jigga: "I'm strong enough to carry Biggie Smalls on my back, an' the whole of BK nigga holla back" Not the best quote but I happened to listen to that (Moment Of Clarity) today. Anyway... to the real crux of it... Biggie... just better lyrics... straight up... More variation, more versatile flow, quality not quantity... Tupac... better MC... one of the best MCs ever no doubt... but he's jus' DMX really... nothin' much better. The "emotion" got stale, he overdid it, he wrote too much, or rather, put out too much - a lot of it was balls. Pac had the better MCin' attributes and more "image" which is why he appeals more to people these days, but Biggie was more versatile, and put quality ahead of quantity... nah much contest after that. |

The 50 quote may not mean shit just as a quote, but if you knew rap like you say you do you'd know that Ja Rule, 50 Cent and that lot are all Pac followers, Pac fans. Not BIG ones. Stylistically they take after Pac more than they do BIG. If you can't see that then you need to listen closely. Snoop Dogg's been rappin' ON RECORDS since he was 16... I'm not gonna deny his shit's gettin' old now, no doubt, and you're right, first two albums it was goin' down. You gotta have respect for him though. Well I do anyway. Pac had poetry?! lmfao sit down man... Very little of his shit was poetic, He just tried to make it sound poetic. He ain't no more poetic than DMX is, sorry. Everyone has this false notion that Pac's like Mr. Poetic Rap. Mr. Deep Rap. Mr. Straight From The Heart Rap. A lot of it was the same shit over and over. A lot of it was depressingly simple and bland. |

yeah ok, pac does get followed by tha ja an 50s, but thats cause hes so gud, an dun get me wrong, i gt respect fo snoop, hell if it werent fo him dre wud neva hav made a comeback so em wud not have had such a big influence on tha game so 50 wud neva have been made famous an den 50 made llyod banks, so i got mad respect fo snoop, hes just same shit, different day, an as fo big, dun get me wrong, hes in ma top 5 fave artists of ALL time, im jus sayin pac had a bigger influence on tha game, an pac DID have poetry, did usee tha docu on him wen he got killed? tha teacher at his school give all his "book o rhymes" to tha press, mad skills in dem uno, an the rose that grew....... it all peotic, just not in a way that u may find normal.

I didn't say Pac wasn't poetic, but his poetic elements were overrated and blown out of proportion. And it's weird how you made that list of influences boil down to Lloyd Banks, another one hugely overrated... ...Never mind... 1 |
