Open Mic: What'd I let happen to myself?

Now I can't release what pain I substained from the start

Numb to a certian extent, I have scar's burned in my head

My heart's been broken, an i've struggled merging the ends

It's a curse my friends, I feel mentally tied down

If I swam in all the bues i'd drank, eventually i'd drown

Over the last few month's, my mental energy died out

So around my friend's, I just pretend to be alive now..

Though I wish not to complain, I'll feel like a burden

I just wanna vent like the old days, with a pad to write my words in

Self expression is valueable, and I feel like I went bankrupt

This ain't what I wanted, I never wanted to feel chained..cuffed

Or rain gust's, that would keep me hiding out alone

Figured i'd finally post something, instead of starring at this blank page at home

 

Suprisingly extremely hard to write..I know it's simple guy's but I haven't written anything in a long time

Deep shit. By you feelin' like you had to make excuses for it, it shows that you haven't done it for a while and that maybe you're not as confident with it. But before readin' that bit at the end, i just came in to this thinkin' "DTK.. This should be dope". And i came in, and read a piece that rolled off the tongue and had some sick lines.

 

IMO, rusty or not, you're still one of the best on the site, and i always look out for your pieces if i'm going to read any.. Keep up
